Our Resources Client Group serves Global and UK & Ireland clients in Energy, Chemicals, Natural Resources and Utilities Industries. Our Client Group team includes Industry Leads, Client Account Leads and Sales teams. We work with most of the major clients across the Resources Industry, as well as working with new players in the industry. The Opportunity

Accenture is looking to recruit a Senior Manager within our Energy Industry team focussed on Upstream. With a specialist focus on helping our Upstream Energy clients navigate the Energy transition, this role will focus on establishing and building client relationships, originating new work with new and existing clients, and work in collaboration with our Sales, Client and Service Group teams.

This role will be key to succession to our industry and client account leads, so career progression, development and coaching will be made available to the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will bring affinity in the industry domain knowledge, applying digital/data/technology solutions and preferably a good understanding of how the Upstream Industry needs to transform to be competitive in the Energy Transition whilst achieving net zero. They will have the opportunity to build a leadership career working with colleagues focused on digital transformation within asset- and energy-intensive industries.

This opportunity requires an ability to build & maintain relationships, help clients identify value improvement opportunities and organise programmes to ensure tangible performance benefits are realised. It also requires a broad knowledge of how to work with our Strategy, Consulting, Technology and Operations teams to architect solutions that exploit the convergence of IT (business applications) with OT (operational, real-time systems and automation) systems combined with process, functional and organisation transformation.

In this role you will:

  • Originate and shape strategic, large and complex client transformation programmes aligning Accenture’s value proposition to clients strategic ambitions
  • Shape innovative industry solutions to enable clients transition to Net Zero
  • Build sustainable relationships with key buyers and decision-makers at new and/or existing clients
  • Effectively engage with the C-suite to maintain their continued support of the Accenture proposition.
  • Manage teams from across all of Accenture to ensure the best solutions are developed and value outcomes are delivered for the client
  • Ensure a competitive advantage is created and maintained
  • Requires identifying and assessing complex problems for area(s) of responsibility. Create solutions in situations in which analysis requires in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives

Qualifications

 We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • Proven experience creating, and leading large, complex, strategic client opportunities for Upstream Energy organisations
  • Originating sales and relationships with C-suite at both established and emerging Upstream Energy clients
  • Demonstrate an ability for independent thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Proven experience in delivering digital transformation programmes at Upstream Energy clients
  • In depth understanding of Upstream Energy client business functions
  • Articulation of business case and business acquisition led thinking, demonstrating the ability to identify sound business growth opportunities
  • Strong business and commercial acumen to drive ideation, value creation and solution shaping 
  • Experienced and credible trusted partner with long-standing clients, in turn influencing the client’s selection process and evaluation criteria
  • Orchestrating multi-party opportunities across technology or business partnerships/ecosystems
  • Leading cross functional and diverse teams to success
