The Health and Safety Specialist, reporting to the UKI Risk Lead, is responsible for supporting, implementing, improving and maintaining the Accenture Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) in both the UK and Ireland, including safety statements, policies and procedures, advising employees, project teams, management and Leadership on health and safety matters.

As a H&S Advisor, you will:
Maintain general knowledge of Accenture’s business, how it is changing and the affects on teams locally and globally. Ensure this knowledge is applied in the planning and implementation of the health & safety management system.
Support, implement, improve, and maintain the Accenture Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) in both the UK and Ireland, including safety statements, policy and procedures, advising employees and project teams on health and safety matters
Support, deliver and maintain the programme to retain ISO 45001 certification and support all other processes and audits in the UK and Ireland

Give advice and guidance on health and safety matters as well as complete:
Building Risk Assessments
Internal and External Audits
Fire Risk Assessments
Persons with Disability Risk Assessments
Young Persons Risk Assessments
Event Risk Assessments
Hazardous Substances Risk Assessments
Manual Handling Risk Assessments
Qualifications
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
Proven experience in advising on Health and Safety matters
Proven experience with managing and implementing risk assessments
Experience in fire consultancy and related guidance and controls
Certified in NEBOSH General Certificate
Membership of IOSH
Set yourself apart:
Ability to bring health and safety to life to different areas of our business
Mastery of health & safety related activities to discuss and agree with stakeholders any actions to mitigate risk
Proven history in delivering high standards of occupational health and safety
