The Opportunity
Accenture is looking to recruit capital project practitioners within our Infrastructure & Capital Projects (I&CP) team in the UK. We are seeking individuals with broad experience and knowledge of capital project across the lifecycle. Capabilities sought include skills that help our clients’ projects perform. This includes area such as: project controls, cost management, planning & scheduling, risk and the ability to setup, design and delivery interventions. This role will focus on helping our clients achieve their ambitions for digital transformation whilst delivering greenfield and brownfield construction and engineering programmes. This includes working with colleagues across the Industry X practice to consider the full lifecycle of their assets. We digitise, optimise and transform our clients’ traditional ways of delivering throughout the lifecycle.
In this role you will:
Help clients target and deliver value through the digital transformation of their Capital Projects activities.
Help shape, sell and deliver projects that create tangible value by designing future ways of working – operating models, business functions and processes, and technology, whilst working closely with business and technology strategists, process owners.
Develop enduring, trust-based relationships with people at all career levels, both professionally and personally, internally, and externally. This includes receiving and providing (based on experience) coaching and career development across the IX practice.
Use data and analytics to drive decision making, implement new ways of working and change operational behaviours.
Provide points of view on key industry challenges and trends and present an impetus for change in industry context.
Support and lead (depending on scale of opportunity) the sales process from origination to successful closing (including offering fine tuning, solution shaping, proposal preparation, client presentations).
Support client innovation workshops and use a human-centered approach to solve problems, frame opportunities and achieve innovation through collaboration and co-creation.

The successful candidate will have good knowledge in one or more core Capital Projects & Infrastructure industries (listed below). They will apply digital technologies combined with people, process and data to implement improvement programmes / projects within our target industries.
Target industries are Asset- and Energy-intensive industries including:
Energy, Utilities (water, power, nuclear), Chemicals
Infrastructure and Networks including Road & Rail, Telecoms, Construction Services
Candidates should be willing to travel to domestic and international locations
We are looking for experience across a selection of the following skills:
Experience of successful delivery of complex and ambitious projects from a professional programme & project management (client facing) perspective to time, cost and quality objectives.
Experience of key project controls disciplines such as schedule, risk, change and cost management within large, complex infrastructure and capital projects.
Consistent track record in winning work for themselves and their team and delivering a high value programme or portfolio management service to the client (or demonstrable transferrable skills and experience).
Developing the business case and roadmap for clients’ transformation journeys.
Work effectively as a supportive team member or a domain experts.
Set yourself apart if you can demonstrate some of the areas below:
Professional qualification in project management, such as the APM, PMI, PRINCE2 or similar
Experience of project controls and dashboarding tools e.g. Oracle, Power BI, Tableau.
An engineering or science qualification or possess suitable experience in lieu.
Strong, validated capability in successful project, programme or portfolio management of complex schemes, especially during their development phase.
Knowledge and understanding of different types of business and operating models (existing, new, emerging and hybrid).
Experience of large-scale delivery and organisational change management
Good client contacts and industry network is highly desirable.
