The Work:
As a Sales Excellence Manager, you manage deal teams throughout the entire bid lifecycle. You use your sales process knowledge to ensure the right resources are engaged in preparing, developing, and negotiating bids that meet and exceed client requirements.
You will:
Understand clients’ needs and work with deal leadership to define win strategies and messaging
Determine what expertise are needed to develop a compelling offer and plan resources accordingly
Drive bid activities and facilitate communication across teams and workstreams
Build and nurture positive relationship with key deal team stakeholders
Seek opportunities to optimize the bid management process and tools
Develop yourself and others through continuous learning and knowledge sharing
As a team:
People in the Sales career track grow pipeline and sales by supporting, managing, and/ or leading the origination and/ or closing of sales opportunities in a specific area of the business and / or across a range of Accenture offerings. They progress by deepening sales skills and/or developing new related skills, growing into more complex sales roles, laterally, upward, or in their current role.
The H&PS Sales Team lead the sale of large and complex opportunities at Accenture in the UK and Ireland across a variety of different government departments. It is a dynamic team made up of Sales Captures and Bid Managers who lead and support opportunities that often combine the full breadth of Accenture. This is an exciting and vibrant team who bring to bear the best of sales at Accenture within a team environment that positively encourages growth and promotion.
In our team you will learn:
To work with clients across the Government sector
To own and execute the end-end project plan from sales origination until sales closure
To collaborate with the wider Sales and Bid Management team
In this role you will:
This role sits within Sales Excellence but with a dotted line to Health and Public Sector.
Responsible for bid management on key sales opportunities, including:
Managing the end-to-end production of the bid response document
Co-ordinating and aligning bid team activities on behalf of the Sales Lead
Co-ordinating the necessary internal approvals for the bid
Providing a key point of contact with the client team
Qualifications
Bid Management experience within the Health & Public Sector
Proven history working in the MoD or other government agencies
Mastery of one or more of the following areas: business development, bid/proposal management, sales negotiations, or commercial pricing
Proficient at assessing complex problems and identifying solutions, for example carrying out detailed analysis
Requires adherence to strategic direction set by senior management, when establishing near-term goals.
Stakeholder management at a client and/or within Accenture level, involving matters that may require acceptance of an alternate approach
Proficient at working collaboratively with both the internal sales team and client stakeholders
Management of medium - large sized teams and/or work efforts within Accenture or client organisation
Strong Bid Budget experience
Strong writing and storyboarding skills
You will also need security clearance
