As a team:
People in the Sales career track grow pipeline and sales by supporting, managing or leading the origination and/or closing of sales opportunities in a specific area or across a range of Accenture offerings. They progress by deepening sales skills and/or developing new related skills, growing into more complex sales roles, laterally, upward, or in their current role.
The Sales Teams lead the sale of large and complex opportunities at Accenture in the UK and Ireland across a variety of different industries. It is a dynamic team made up of Sales Captures and Bid Managers who lead and support opportunities that often combine the full breadth of Accenture. We work with most of the major clients across many market sectors, as well as working with new players in the industry. This is an exciting and vibrant team who bring to bear the best of sales at Accenture within a team environment that positively encourages growth and promotion.
The role is in our newly formed service line Industry X – in Industry X we shape the future of making things, and the things we make. Our Industry X Team drives innovation by delivering the best-in-class management consultancy based on industrial experience leveraged by the latest technologies. Evolution of industry practices have been witnessed with evolution of technology. We've been helping businesses adopt and implement the new for years; it is critical we apply this to manufacturers and products companies, service organizations and software companies, to fuel their next level of growth.
Our Management Consulting professionals design and implement process and change interventions that integrate strategy, technology, data and people to enable process improvements that create value for clients. We focus on helping our clients achieve their ambitions for digital transformation within their core manufacturing and operations throughout the full lifecycle of their assets from capital projects through operations and ongoing support. We digitize, optimize and transform our clients’ traditional ways of planning, producing and shipping to be more agile and dynamic.
Accenture is looking to recruit industry sales professionals within our Industry X practice in the UK or Ireland. The role is focused on helping our clients achieve their ambitions for sustainable digital transformation. The role includes working with colleagues across the Industry X practice and the broader Accenture family.
Your role will cover sales support and bid management, working hand in glove with colleagues across the Industry X practice, including Sales Capture Leads and Client Account Leads, to plan and execute winning bids.
You will be supporting our sales strategy, deal qualification, and bid management, including competitive analysis, price to win sessions, sales process & bid coordination, pricing and bid response editing and reviewing. You will gain a holistic view of the sales process, what it takes to win and be successful, and enhance your network within Industry X and the wider Accenture business.
Your role in Industry X will include a broad range of key activities to support our ambitious growth story:
- Support sales on a dedicated basis, through deal origination, sales negotiation, and closure, and/or driving and managing programs to improved sales performance, efficiencies and outcomes.
- Work closely with sales teams in solution development, including scope and price solutions.
- Assist designing comprehensive winning sales strategies, including being able to articulate these to key internal stakeholders and Accenture leadership.
- Manage solution/proposition, develop client interactions and relevant client demonstrations, etc.
- Own and/or coordinate bid plans for key Industry X deals from origination through to closure.
- Coordinate internal approvals and manage deals through the sales process
- Support content creation by ensuring we bring the best of industry X and broader Accenture content and differentiators to match our clients business needs.
- Assist in the commercial shaping of deals

- Demonstrate an ability for independent thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Articulation of business case and business acquisition led thinking, demonstrating the ability to identify sound business growth opportunities
- Strong foundational business and commercial acumen to drive ideation and deal shaping
- Track record of client relevant digital and/or business led sales opportunities combined with technology or operations industrialisation
- Orchestrating multi-party opportunities across technology or business partnerships/ecosystem
- Experience in negotiations and contracting.
- Co-ordinating cross functional and diverse teams to success
