Junior Project Manager – Global

The Associate Project Manager’s focus is to successfully manage projects closely with their Account Management counterpart and act as a liaison between a wide range of internal teams. Although the Project Management function has an internal focus, they must also have direct client conversations. The APM is responsible for ensuring timely, in-budget quality deliverables for cross channel projects in accordance with the agency’s goals, balancing the details with the big picture.

The APM must be able to work resourcefully and efficiently (both independently and in teams), knowing when to escalate an issue. The APM will line into and be supported by a Project Manager, together they will work closely, with the PM mentoring and developing the APM’s Project Management skills through highlighting best practice. The PM will be available to advise on project specific matters and act as a first point of escalation for the APM. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for managing deliverables for global cross channel content

  • Produce and maintain timing plans

  • Track and report on project status

  • Risk assessment of projects and collating work effort for any out of scope projects

  • Balancing internal stakeholder inputs against the scope

  • Managing multiple cross channel projects at one time, this may include a product launch

  • Prioritise tasks for other teams based on project delivery

  • Book internal resources and meetings as required

  • Assist and support team members as required

  • Learning to understand each of the project steps and what is required at each stage

  • Escalate the impact of client decisions

  • Ensure challenges/concerns are communicated in a timely manner

  • Taking advantage of opportunities to develop the wider team through training and guidance

  • Be available to support the market team during market handover period



Qualifications

Degree educated in a relevant transferable function (desirable but not required)


WORKING BACKGROUND

  • Familiarity with digital agency processes - desirable for that to be coupled with website globalisation 

  • Experience working with responsive design, UX, user testing and external development teams (desirable)

  • Formal project management methodology experience e.g. Agile, Prince2 (desirable)

  • Experience of asset production and/or brochure production projects (desirable)

  • Luxury/automotive advertising experience is a plus but not required
