Market Project Manager

Location: Birmingham / UK

Contract Type: Permanent

The role

This role will work within the UK located team, serving a global automotive client.  Our team creates brand communications, delivering award-winning creative and marketing effectiveness across end-to-end customer communications.

Working closely with the other teams, the focus of the Project Manager is to manage the delivery of projects within a specific market remit. Operating as the main Project Manager for Market coordination between client`s global and client’s key regions and markets, the Project Manager will manage all elements of market-coordination, across 3 channels – brochure, website and the Configurator as well as having specific responsibility to resolve issues at a regional level.

The Project Manager will be capable and confident resolving issues and able to work autonomously. This role is pivotal to our internal global organization and the dedicated markets are the client-base. This is a truly global position and requires someone who can manage expectations, deliver projects against timelines and communicate effectively.

What will you do

  • Lead their designated market, be the main point of contact for issue resolution, but escalate when required

  • Manage your clients to successfully deliver print collateral and launch websites according to agreed timings for their designated market(s)

  • Build strong and robust relationships with your client`s global and local representatives and within our UK teams and our local colleagues

  • Understand that the Project Manager role reports to client`s global and that the delivery of translated Global assets into local market is the role’s core objective, rather than the localisation of Global assets

  • Ensure you are communicating effectively any changes, updates, work coming in regularly to both your clients and to the BHX departments

  • Become a ‘market specialist’ – understanding each of the markets in depth and taking ownership for identified projects

  • Ensure all timings in the critical path are adhered to without fail

  • Collaborate with internal and client`s teams and the external Agency partners to resolve issues

  • Working with Senior Project Manager to establish and manage project plans through to delivery

  • Where deadlines cannot be met, then work within our teams to work up a manageable contingency plan

  • Update status reports daily and complete timesheets

  • Understand and adhere to the WoWs processes

  • Write clear and concise briefing documents in a timely manner for all stages of the project delivery to enable all teams to act quickly on all instructions

  • Understand the overall critical path for the market projects and the client agreed SLA’s for delivery

  • Take responsibility for all QC and ensuring the correct approval signatures have been given both internally and externally


Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience as a Project Manager or delivery focused Account Management role Experience in digital and print projects

  • Experience gained in an agency environment strongly preferred

  • Able to articulate and present ideas with conviction

  • A clear communicator, in person and writing

  • Highly organised and flexible

  • Commercially aware

  • Good numerical / financial understanding

  • Approachable, outgoing and diplomatic

  • Must have excellent emotional intelligence

  • Comfortable building strong connections with a large network of stakeholders
