Health & Safety Management System Lead for UK and Ireland - Specialist

Location: UK

Salary - up to £47,0000 Depending on experience + benefits

As a team:

Accenture is committed to achieving high standards of occupational health and safety throughout the organisation.  The UKI H&S Management System Lead, reporting to the UKI Risk Lead, is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Accenture Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) in both the UK and Ireland, including safety statements, policies and procedures, advising employees, project teams, management and Leadership on health and safety matters.

As the H&S Management System Lead, you will:

  • Maintain general knowledge of Accenture’s business, how it is changing and the impact on teams locally and globally. 

  • Ensure this knowledge is applied in the planning and implementation of the Health & Safety Management System.

  • Develop, implement, improve, and maintain the Accenture Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) in both the UK and Ireland, including safety statements, policy and procedures, advising employees and project teams on health and safety matters

  • Deliver and maintain the programme to retain ISO 45001 certification and support all other processes and audits in the UK and Ireland

In our team you will:

Proactively maintain the Occupational Health Management System in co-operation with a wider team as well as conduct other H&S duties which includes but are not limited to:

  • Risk Assessments

  • Incident Investigation

  • Compile reports for Senior Leadership

  • Increase awareness of H&S culture across the organisation



Qualifications

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • Relevant H&S qualification, as a minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent

  • Membership of a relevant professional organisation like IOSH

  • Proven experience in advising on Health and Safety matters

  • Audit experience

  • Auditor qualified ISO45001 (desirable)
