Job Description

The Client Information Security Audit Support role will provide Information Security audit and sales due diligence account support. The role is part of the Client Data Protection (CDP) Clearinghouse team (which sits within Accenture Information Security).

The resource will assist client teams to drive positive outcomes from client-initiated Information Security audit activity. Role requires and an ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders – from client executives and auditors through to Accenture client leads, Contract Managers, Legal representatives and Account Information Security Leads.

Additionally, the resource may also engage in sales due diligence discussions with client executives as part of the Accenture new business development process. This may include a) preparing and delivering presentations on information security practice, b) interfacing with client executives on specific information security topics and c) responding to exploratory client surveys and questionnaires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an audit subject matter expert to accounts by providing audit management expertise from the point of client audit identification through to the conclusion of an information security audit: Specifically:

    • Assist an account team to apply the Accenture Information Security Audit Management Standard

    • Assist with pre-audit preparatory activities (definition of audit scope and identification of an audit delivery plan)

    • Participate directly in client audit activity by addressing client questions on Accenture Information Security policies, processes and standards

    • Assist resolution of complex audit issues / queries raised by a client

  • Maintain collaborative relationships with a) common business support functions that commonly support client audits (including Accenture functions associated with Security Operations; Network Operations; Risk & Compliance and Security compliance assessment teams) and b) Accenture Information Security Enterprise level functions and subject matter experts

  • Analyze audit findings / outcomes and make recommendations to Accenture IS leadership on improvements to Information Security methods, policies and standards

  • Develop role amongst the Account Information Security Leads (AISL) community

  • Participate in client information security new business due diligence discussions as part of the Accenture new business development process. Present to prospective client executives on information security management topics

Technical skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 Security Standard (or similar information security control frameworks)

  • Practical audit delivery experience within the IT industry (either leading an audit programme or responding to audit). Experience running non-information security related audit programmes would be considered

  • Hold (or be seeking to achieve) a recognized professional security certification (such as CISSP, CISA, CISM or CRISC)

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar subject

Personal skills and capabilities:

  • Ability to coach and influence client teams on information security (including senior client and Accenture leadership). Ability to present to (and interact with) senior client executives on information security and Accenture Client Data Protection methods and practices

  • Demonstrate effective audit planning and management capability

  • Experience with common business teams that support client information security audits including (but not limited to) Security Operations; Network Operations; Business Continuity and Risk & Compliance teams

  • Ability to converse with an external auditor and with client Information Security executives

  • Possess strong organizational and analytical skills – displaying a collaborative approach to problem-solving and to conflict resolution. Ability to prioritize multiple demands / activities in time pressured environment

  • Ability to work independently with limited management direction. Role will require flexibility to be able to work in different time zones supporting cross border client engagements (which may mean working outside normal business hours from time to time)

  • Fluent in English

  • Post COVID – potential for Accenture / client site travel
