In this role you will:
•Advise clients on simplifying, optimising and redesigning their control library by utilising skills and experience across policy, process, technology, data, and analytics
•Work with the latest technologies to solve problems related to control optimsation
•Use “control by design” approach to help client re-think their control infrastructure
•Understand and solve complex business problems and present back solutions to stakeholders
•Be agile and agnostic to solutions as you work with different client circumstances and as controls ecosystem evolves at an ever-increasing pace
•Work alongside our global clients, with opportunities to travel
•Write point of views on industry trends
•Lead and support development of sales proposals and offerings
•Contribute control knowledge to a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders
•Contribute to the Risk practice community and build a network across Accenture and clients
•Coach our teams and develop their skills and knowledge
•Encourage everyone to have a voice and invite opinion from all, including quieter members of the team.
•Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
•Experience working in Controls management of NFR in industry
•Experience working within a NFR in advisory, technology, analytics, or operational capacity (as a consultant or in a financial services, government, regulatory, or commercial organisation).
•Experience using “control be design” or other methods to reduce, optimise and re-think the management of risk
•Understanding of how data and analytics can be used to prevent, detect, and manage NFR
•Experience in conducting risk assessments
•Good working knowledge of UK or global regulation, legislation, and industry guidance
•Good understanding of the control framework and best practices for NFR risk management
•Project delivery experience either as lead or part of project delivery team
•Strong MS office skills specifically in PowerPoint and Excel
•The ability to present complex problems and solutions to senior stakeholders
•The ability to work effectively within a team setting to tight and agile deadlines
•Commercial awareness to support commercial engagements and spot market opportunities
•Able to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including the ability to work across both technology and business stakeholders
•Ability to be involved in the financial management of clients
•Ability to be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
•Demonstrate examples of contributing to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
•Experience in developing strategies to solve complex technical challenges
Set yourself apart:
•Experience in writing points of view or presenting on Control management or NFR trends or technologies
•Experience delivering Risk and Regulation projects, either leading work-streams or functional areas and supporting larger delivery projects
•Knowledge of latest industry trends and developments and how they might impact risk
•Experience in writing points of view or presenting on risk management trends
•Experience working using Agile delivery methodology
•Experience using data and analytics to support optimsation of the control framework
•Experience either delivering, presenting, or using analytics outputs to help inform policy or action against NFR
•Experience with assessing appropriateness and effectiveness of controls and designing / implementing risk-based enhancements
•It is likely that your work will be part of wider transformational programmes and hence exposure to other competencies and skills is important (Technology, Operations etc) is desirable
•Developing the careers of the teams working with and reporting to you;
•Demonstrating strong understanding in your specialist field of the issues facing our clients and the successful solutions they might deploy in the area of regulatory reform;
•The ability to stay abreast of regulatory developments driving the industry and key issues affecting regulated firms so as to anticipate and understand the impact of such developments on clients;
•Understanding of cloud technologies, such as AWS, GCP and Azure or coding languages and Big Data technologies such as Python, R, Spark, and Hive.
•You will work as a senior member of our team and be expected to take a significant role to support large programmes or lead smaller projects (team sizes will vary depending on client/ project).
