In our team you will:

  • Learn at the forefront of the payments industry, provide actionable insights to the world's top organisations, helping them address priority C-suite issues, and lead the delivery of these strategic improvements at speed and at scale
  • Play a central role in delivering client value across a breath of engagements  with examples of previous client work including:
    • Creating new payments propositions to capture market share, leveraging Open Banking and FinTechs
    • Shaping and leading the delivery of complex technology solutions to modernise payments (from implementing cloud-based cards platforms, to leveraging payments platforms as a service and delivering API-driven payments propositions)
    • Defining the roadmap for key strategic and legislative driven IT programmes (such as PSD2, NPA and ISO 20022)
    • Defining the way our clients exploit the “New IT” across Agile, DevOps, AI and Digital
    • Helping clients navigate and maximise their journey to the cloud
    • Advising our clients on the payments applications of emerging technologies such as CBDCs, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Analytics and Blockchain

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for leading projects and delivery teams in our Payments practice that help our clients across the breadth of financial services firms (as well as innovative tech players, retail firms, and other emerging industries) to transform their technology landscape and develop cutting-edge payments solutions
  • Drive the end-to-end strategy to implementation of a wide-range of transformational payments initiatives, leading cross-functional teams of business and IT stakeholders from the client, Accenture, and third parties
  • Maintain an understanding and specialist point of view on advancements in payments technology and innovations to support advising clients on emerging trends and technologies
  • Target and articulate value for clients, shaping and coordinating business development opportunities, sales proposals and RFP responses to bring the best of Accenture S&C Payments to our clients
  • Lead initiatives within our Payments community, which could include developing and managing digital go-to-market offerings, leading cutting-edge research projects/points of view, or building our internal capabilities
  • Build and manage highly effective teams of consultants to help shape and execute client engagements, with a strong capability to develop the skills of junior colleagues

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • Extensive experience and deep industry-knowledge in a number of the following key Payments areas: core payments and/or card payments (issuing, acquiring); payments innovations and alternative payment methods (e.g. Bitcoin, e-Wallets, CBDC); payments industry changes (e.g. PSD2, SCA, ISO20022); fraud detection and prevention
  • Experience working in at least one of the following industries: retail or corporate banking; merchant / acquirers; alternative payments vendors
  • Ability to identify and understand a client’s high-level business needs, and lead the creation and execution of project/programme plans to meet these needs  
  • Ability to manage the origination of new work, and drive the sales process
  • Well-developed analytical skills to be able to synthesize large amounts of information and subsequently communicate clearly to a wide range of audiences, providing clarity to complex issues
  • Working knowledge of multiple delivery methodologies (including waterfall, lean, Agile)
  • Ability to from strong, trust-based client relationships, particularly at senior levels
  • Demonstrable team leadership skills to drive and coach others to successful project outcomes

  • 8+ years consulting and/or project delivery experience within payments
  • Be a self-starter who loves to solve problems, going above and beyond to deliver lasting client value
  • Be well-versed and engaged with payments market trends and innovations, and keen to leverage our offerings to address our client’s business challenges
  • Be keen to drive growth within the Payments practice through business development, sales and leadership within our community
