To support our rapidly growing Content Experience Team, we are looking for an exceptionally skilled Front-End Web Engineering background, who is keen to move into a client facing consultative role, using their prior experience to help clients and account teams understand how they can use the latest front-end development practices to achieve their experience ambitions. 

The ideal candidate will have a web development background coupled with a passion and keen eye for delivering the best in class front end experiences.   You will be interested in emerging trends, such as front-end frameworks, how they should be implemented and how they bolster the customer experience.

As a FE Developer Manager, you will:

  • Be part of our Content Practice and help lead our team of content experience practitioners
  • Be responsible for building the next generation of talent in this field
  • Help support our growth agenda through bringing you experience to business development efforts
  • Work on our most interesting content and customer experience client programmes
  • Merge strategic thinking with technical understanding of the solutions
  • Help build assets, accelerators, demos and solutions

Qualifications

Our Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 7+ years Front end development and 3+ years team lead level. 
  • Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive 
  • Strong portfolio of work showing experience developing standards-compliant front-end code for product and/or marketing websites, web applications, and/or mobile experiences 
  • Strong understanding of digital accessibility standards, how to implement, control, measure, achieve.
  • Strong understanding of website performance drivers, core web vitals and website speed optimisation. How to implement, control, measure, achieve
  • Proficient in testing the front-end code for supported browsers and devices 
  • Knowledge of Front-End automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, Jest).
  • Proficient demonstrated experience in incorporating reliable unit and end-to-end testing to UI frameworks 
  • Proficient in JavaScript 
  • Proficient in HTML5 / CSS3 
  • Experience implementing modern UI frameworks (react, angular, node.js, etc)
  • Proficient working in an Agile Software Development environment 
  • Familiar with languages such as Java/C#, Python, and Ruby 
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work well in a team and technical leadership experience 

Set yourself apart:

  • Experience implementing headless solutions
  • Strong CMS architecture definition and design skills
  • Experience in implementing AWS or Azure hosted applications
  • Production experience with a functional programming pattern or language 
  • UX skills in Interaction Design and Visual Design as well as understanding of UI/UX design and research principles & design systems
  • Experience implementing headless solution

  • Knowledge with Front end prototyping approaches/tools/techniques.
  • Prior experience on generating POVs and defining technical roadmap at enterprise level
