As a Visual Designer in London, you will work with blended teams to define concepts, strategies, and create visual design artifacts at a project level. You have a strong appreciation for every aspect of Visual Design, and you are able to collaborate closely with service designers, interaction designers, and technologists to craft great experiences and consistently adapt designs across devices and channels.

As a Visual Designer, you will:

  • Solve visual design challenges, from helping to create new Design Systems to crafting beautiful micro interactions and deliver production-ready designs.

  • Be passionate about visual design trends and push the boundaries of our discipline

  • Communicate visual design concepts through various artefacts such as mood boards, screen designs and interactive prototypes.

  • Support the detailed definition of visual design artifacts based on relevant business, technical and design considerations.

  • Explain, discuss, and justify your design decisions effectively.

  • Participate to the visual design deliverables on a project, with oversight from the Senior Designer or Design Lead on the project.

  • Create designs to support new business development efforts and client meetings.

  • Attend studio and community events, workshops, and conferences

  • Collaborate with other designers, developers, and researchers to bring integrated value to our clients.

  • Be proactive and spot opportunities to improve the Visual Design practice at a project and studio level and participating to the Visual Design Guild activities.

Qualifications

Your experience:

  • Relevant in-depth experience in a Visual Design or Digital Product Design role.

  • Any form of experience in one or more of the following: higher education in a design related degree, a course or similar experience in a visual or product design role.

  • Experience in translating business and customer requirements into visually compelling solutions.

  • Experience working with a Design System to create production ready deliverables

  • High dexterity in speed and quality with the tools of your trade such as Sketch, Figma, Invision, Adobe CS, Miro or Mural

  • Experienced in creating low and high-fidelity prototypes

  • Knowledge of and curiosity about technology, translating its impact on design solutions.

  • Proven strong collaborative and teamwork skills working collaboratively with cross-functional team members.

  • Proven history of delivering projects on time.

  • Proven strong collaborative and teamwork skills

  • A general understanding of areas of specialisation within the greater visual design landscape, including but not limited to illustration, motion design, typography, and data visualisation.

Set yourself apart:

  • Working knowledge of delivery management tools such as Trello, JIRA or Asana and delivery methodologies such as Agile, DevOPs etc.

  • Experience in coding and in creating coded prototypes.

  • Ability to share design decisions with clients and partners

  • Data visualisation skills

  • Illustration skills

  • Motion design and animation skills

  • Experience in running online and offline workshops and interviews with clients and users to validate design decisions.

Other notes

Applications without a design portfolio which demonstrates experience in Visual Design will not be considered.
