Industry X Intelligent Products & Platforms is seeking to recruit a hands-on consulting practitioner with good knowledge in a broad range of scalable products and R&D processes, from implementation of improvement programs / projects, good practices for an operational excellence culture, to building future-proof software and hardware.
In this role you will:
Digitize, optimize and transform traditional R&D and engineering processes and tools
Design, develop and launch software-enabled devices, equipment, products, and services
Architect, develop, scale and maintain software-based platforms, and the software platform layer that enable and drive the intelligence in devices, equipment and services
Create connected products that deliver new experiences that evolve client's products as-a-service model
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
Understanding how to help set up and run agile product development teams at scale
Ability to analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of work processes and tools, and how to drive improvements, such as test and deployment automation platforms
An understanding of product architectures and software integration concepts
Ability to lead and manage project delivery activities, within specific areas such as product management, or end-to-end across a programme or portfolio of products
Being able to build strong client relationships and understand priorities and the challenges being faced both in the market and for individual clients
A strong team dynamic – being personable, approachable, helpful
Being able to drive positivity around the disruption brought about by change
Hands-on experience of physical product strategy, design and transformation
Ability to provide the vision around smart connected product strategy
Ability to help shape and lead product transformation programmes – across growth strategy, leadership & culture, innovation and R&D processes and tools.
Set yourself apart:
Industry experience in Industrial & Automotive, Consumer Goods, Life Sciences, Comms & Media, and modern Software / Platform companies.
Advisory experience around helping companies transform to as-a-service product models
Setting up and shaping data-driven product and platform operations, aftermarket and sales operations
Reducing costs around development and maintenance, warranty and aftersales
Industry experience in modern Software & Platform clients, Comms & Media, Automotive
