Salary range: £70,000 – £85,000

Travel: Up to 100%

Yet despite this, challenging economic conditions coupled with significant levels of technological disruption are forcing Procurement to revaluate its role, prompting high performing procurement functions to look beyond cost and refocus the mission to deliver enterprise-wide value.

 

In Accenture’s Products Sourcing and Procurement team we are at the forefront in helping our clients understand how they can unlock the potential of their procurement functions. We work with leading organisations across Consumer Goods, Life Sciences, Retail and Auto and Industrial to transform the way they work. From completing strategic value targeting assessments, through to helping clients to redesign and optimise their procurement operating models, we offer a breadth of both functional and digital expertise.

 

Role Description

 

Sitting within Accenture’s Products Industry X.0 / Supply Chain Operations practice, the Sourcing and Procurement team is one of the key components of our supply chain management consulting business.

 

As a Manager in the team you will be responsible for shaping and driving client relationships and consulting engagements from day one. You will be leading teams to deliver high quality advisory work, leveraging Accenture’s subject matter experts and working side by side with client stakeholders to drive innovative and tailored solutions.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading client engagements and managing a project team across a range of sourcing and procurement focused projects typically covering:
    • Procurement performance capability assessment / benchmarking
    • Strategic sourcing and value targeting, including zero based spend consumption and demand reduction
    • Procurement transformation including operating model design
    • Source to Pay process innovation and excellence
    • Digital procurement assessment and roadmap development
    • Supplier innovation and performance management
  • Ensuring delivery of high-quality projects on time and within budget, demonstrating effective leadership of diverse teams, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment aligned to Accenture’s core values
  • Directly managing client relationships, balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders to obtain buy-in
  • Helping to build Accenture’s sourcing and procurement practice through the development of client proposals and thought leadership

Qualifications

Required Skills

You should have expertise in the following areas:  

  • Have experience, either gained from a management position in industry or from a consulting organisation, in delivering and leading activities in some of the following areas:
    • Procurement performance capability assessment / benchmarking
    • Strategic sourcing and value targeting, including zero based spend consumption and demand reduction
    • Procurement transformation including operating model design
    • Source to Pay process innovation and excellence including digital procurement
    • Digital procurement assessment and roadmap development
    • Supplier innovation and performance management
  • Have knowledge of cutting-edge procurement technologies eg. eProcurement tools, analytics, artificial intelligence and RPA deployed in a procurement environment
  • Have demonstrated ability of structuring and deploying projects including managing effective governance and project risk
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with evidence of having worked with a diverse group of stakeholders including the C-Suite
  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to quickly synthesise complex sets of data, develop understanding and pull out key insights
