Accenture Scientific Informatics Services (ASIS) works with “best in breed” Laboratory Informatics software products to provide total solutions for our clients. ASIS are experts in architecting, configuring, deploying, validating and supporting laboratory systems. These systems include LIMS, ELN, SDMS, and CDS, among others. Thisdomain where laboratory science intersects with information technology is our passion, and unlike some other companies providing similar services, it is our singular focus!
Our teams work closely with clients, building relationships and communicating effectively with stakeholders of varying seniority levels with this role requiring strong written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to demonstrate strong relationship management skills
As a LIMS developer, you will work under moderate supervision from a more senior developer – you will be expected to perform basic or more complex configuration of laboratory informatics systems. Following this, you will look to integrate laboratory instruments with scientific software packages. You will be able to develop simple software functionality and (fixed format) You will also write basic SQL queries using relational database concepts and schema design principles.
will carry out other activities such as:
- Write and perform Unit Tests as well as periodic status/ progress reports
- Lead Junior BA-Developers
- Participate in peer reviews of code for coding standards, best practices, functionality, error handling
- Break complex processes into smaller achievable pieces
- Integrate scientific applications with other scientific or non-scientific applications
- Take leading role in requirements analysis process with client stakeholders
- Develop complex algorithms and software designs
- Design and Develop reusable utility / library software
- Perform simple database optimization
Qualifications and Background
We would expect you to possess at leastin an applicable field, and of software development experience in Laboratory Informatics projects. Also, you will meet several of the below:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
- 3-5 years of experience working in regulated environments
- 2+ years of consulting experience
