Job Description:


This is a role to join the iDefense Reconnaissance team as a cyber threat intelligence specialist. The team is responsible for the collection and analysis of intelligence on criminal forums, persona development, virtual HUMINT, OSINT and threat assessment deliverables. The team covers a variety of threats including cybercrime, cyber espionage and hacktivism which lead to the development of strategic, operational and tactical reports to help protect Accenture’s customers.

As a threat intelligence specialist your primary role is to undertake research on threat groups and campaigns with a strong emphasis on cybercrime. You will act as a lead analyst for the team, developing collection efforts and virtual HUMINT capabilities on both English-language and Russian-language Deep Web/Darknet forums and communities. You will also be responsible for supporting iDefense in CBEST/CREST/STAR/TIBER engagements. You will be willing to support business development opportunities with the ability to present iDefense offerings in a client-facing environment on an ad hoc basis.


Key Requirements:


  • Strong experience in a threat intelligence role
  • Expert understanding of cybercrime threat landscape, TTPs, threat actors and groups
  • Excellent analytic and writing capabilities
  • High familiarity with English and Russian underground criminal communities
  • Proven capabilities within open source intelligence (OSINT) and virtual human intelligence (HUMINT)
  • Strong understanding of the intelligence cycle and industry models such as including models such as Kill Chain and Mitre ATT&CK framework
  • Experience in threat actor and threat group profiling
  • Proficiency in supporting business development opportunities in Cyber Defense
  • Excellent written and oral English-language

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Author operational and strategic intelligence products to meet intelligence collection requirements
  • Develop collection grid for English and Russian language criminal communities on the Deep Web/Dark Net/Clearnet
  • Contribute to client deliverables e.g. RFIs, CBEST, TIBER threat assessments
  • Support business development opportunities for Cyber Defense in UKI
  • Mentor and train junior analysts in cyber threat intelligence and analytic skills
Desirable Experience: 

  • Degree in intelligence, international security, war studies, information technology, cyber security computer science would be beneficial
  • Proficiency in Russian language
  • An established presence in the threat intelligence community
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Initiative to develop sources and drive improvements in the Reconnaissance team’s capabilities
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Technical knowledge of malware 
  • Confidence when presenting complex subject matter
  • SC/DV clearance a plus, but not essential

What academic qualifications do you need?
