Role Description:
The Accenture Consulting Supply Chain group works with clients to develop and implement strategies that improve cost efficiency, increase business effectiveness, and create synergies and collaboration across companies. To help our clients achieve these improvements, we focus on optimizing our client's supply chain by providing an updated strategy, operating model and processes.
The Supply Chain group covers all elements of core planning, logistics and warehouse offerings including:
· Supply chain Operating Model transformation
· Supply chain network transformation
· 3PL/4PL strategy definition
· Warehousing and Logistics Operations analysis and optimisation
· Warehouse and Logistics systems selection and implementation
· Supply chain Operating Model transformation
· Sales and Operations Planning
· Supply Chain Planning Strategy
· Collaboration, Inventory Management
· Supply/Demand Planning Systems (e.g., SAP - APO, i2, Manugistics)
· Tax efficient supply chain design and implementation
· Process innovation and excellence
· Channel Optimisation
· Carbon efficient Supply Chain
Recruitment will be at Senior Manager level within the UK and Ireland A&D team. This person will spend the majority of their time operating as part of engagement teams, and will be responsible for the content and quality of delivery of major portions the firm's client-facing work on those engagements. They will also have a key role in business development, acting as a subject matter expert in the development of proposals and pitches to prospective clients.
Key responsibilities may include:

· Management of teams with responsibility for project deliverables
· Architect new pieces of work, understanding the client’s requirements and pulling together Accenture best practice principles and solutions to create pieces of work that can be undertaken by Accenture consultants
· Develop ongoing relationships with senior clients and originate new work
· Flexible working at client locations which often requires travel during the week

What we're looking for
Candidates should have solid experience in the supply
chain area from working with A&D organisations or other industrial
organisations and/or other consultancies showing experience in these sectors.
You will be expected to be passionate and positive about the opportunity to
enhance your existing experience and grow Accenture's capability to deliver
supply chain solutions to our clients. At a Senior Manager level, we would like
to hear from candidates that can demonstrate a number of the skills below:

Capable of building strong relationships
with clients and working well as part of a team

Proven capability in leadership and team
management comprising both internal and client personnel

Responsibility for defining client issues
and shaping projects to meet client expectations and deliver business outcomes

Design and execution of project and programme
structures, including project deliverables, team structure and resourcing
models

Experience of working with a wide range of
stakeholders, including engagement at the senior level
What Skills are required?
We require people with a proven track record either
within other consultancies, the A&D or other industrial sector. The ability
to work in a programme/project related environment is critical. We are
particularly looking for the following capabilities:
·
Proven experience gained from a consulting
or operations position in Supply Chain Management
·
Deep experience working in defence supply
chains or other industrial sector (e.g. Civil Nuclear, oil and gas or
construction) with experience of direct spend management for major programmes
of work
·
Experienced in leaning operations or supply
chains for direct and indirect spend including labour.
·
Functional experience should include some
of the following: distributed order management, inventory management, demand
planning, supply planning, distribution and logistics, global trade management
·
To ascertain and execute the supply chain
approach that drives greatest value for the client (e.g. preparing and/or
facilitating RFPs / RFIs / RFQs)
·
Deep knowledge of core Supply Chain
business capabilities
·
Significant consulting and/or project
delivery experience including: delivery to agreed scope, time scales and
budgets from a top tier consulting company or blue-chip organisation
·
Able to influence the opinions of senior
client individuals so they follow his/her lead on supply chain strategy
decisions
·
Management and development of
client/internal stakeholder relationships
·
University/College degree (2:1 or higher)

Ability to develop and apply supply chain
and consulting skills and capabilities effectively to solve complex business
issues
·
Organises and directs quality work
·
Pushing self and others to add value by
meeting expectations and completing deliverables regardless of obstacles

outside of core supply chain (eg. Process improvement, Service Strategy,
Innovation and Product Development)

Deep Supply/demand Planning Systems
experience (e.g., Oracle RPAS, SAP - APO, i2, Manugistics etc)- ideally
experience implementing a planning tool
·
Decision-making and recommendation for tool
selection based on industry perspective, functional fit & business case
