UK Compliance Counsel Associate Manager
Location: Can be based anywhere across UK – with regular travel into London

This position is a full-time Associate Manager role to be filled by an experienced legal counsel, with comprehensive compliance work experience in a MNC or law firm. The role will mainly focus on compliance with particular emphasis on data protection and regulatory matters in the UK. You will work closely with the Geographic Legal Lead for the UK in supporting the UK compliance oversight function.
What responsibilities will you have?
Provide legal counsel, advice and guidance relating to the company’s operations in the UK to ensure maximum protection of the company’s legal rights, mitigation of legal risks and continued legal compliance.
Provide legal support for DP compliance, global compliance programmes (including anti-corruption) and Post Merger Integration compliance oversight.
Assist the Manager in corporate compliance work to ensure compliance with the applicable local and international laws and regulations.
Resolve legal issues or cases in a timely and professional manner.
UK-qualified and practicing solicitor preferred. Lawyers from other Jurisdictions would be considered based upon experience.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
Legal experience with an MNC and/or a law firm.
Exposure to GDPR, data protection law, anti-corruption, money laundering, anti-bribery
Excellent verbal/written communications skills.
Ability to consistently apply good judgment.
