Location: London     

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000         

Travel: up to 100%

Join Accenture Security Practice and you will become part of the one of the fastest growing areas of the business with significant growth plans through additional recruitment and acquisitions. The Application Security Consultant provides advisory and technical support to help our clients improve their Information Security posture to respond to the rapidly evolving Cyber Security threats.  You will provide information security subject matter expertise and utilize your business acumen to work collaboratively with our clients to advise, design, build and implement pragmatic security solutions.

 

What responsibilities will you have?

 

You will be working as part of a team helping one of our clients perform analysis of audit and event logs from a cloud-based service. You will assist in the collation, analysis, management and distribution of reports to support the overall protective monitoring strategy and work with the client to develop custom scripts to analyse logs and discover unexpected events.

 

You’ll work with environment owners and the wider programme to manage any identified issues and escalate security impacting events.

 

What skills & experience are we looking for?

 

We’re looking for people with enquiring minds who understand the operational aspects of security in a sensitive environment. You’ll be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of;

  • Cloud security
  • Linux-based operating systems
  • Cloud-based applications and services

Ideal candidates will have experience working in an ITIL-compliant environment with some experience of agile development.

 

You will have effective written and oral communication skills, an understanding of programme management and project processes and familiarity with the NCSC Cloud Security Principles.

 

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible UK Security Vetting at SC level. You must have continuously resided in the UK for the last 5 years and not require a visa to work in the UK.

What academic qualifications do you need?

 

Applicants must have good communication skills (A-C English GCSE or equivalent) and a relevant degree or suitable work experience.
