London (100% travel required)
Role Description
We are currently looking for experienced DevOps/ Cloud practitioners to join our DevOps Advisory teams. As a DevOps Consultant within Accenture, you will work directly with our clients to provide advice on their Technology strategy and lead teams with build DevOps capabilities to realise these strategies. Successful candidates will demonstrate a balance of consulting savvy as well as technical expertise.
Key Technical accountabilities:
  • Responsible for low level tools and automation design (including cartridges) and delivery.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile delivery environment.
  • Experience installing and administering multiple industry leading DevOps tools.
  • Experience administering 1 or more platforms (linux, windows, etc) or large middleware (WebSphere, SAP, etc).
  • Ability to document as-is process and architectures based on face-to-face interviews.
  • Experience administering environments and resources on cloud provider (IaaS or PaaS).
  • Demonstrable experience of differentiating expertise in 1 or more DevOps technologies.
  • Ability to draw up complete DevOps architecture based on reference model, and demonstrate adherence with other technology architecture domains such as security, HA, DR, etc.
Consulting skills:
  • Has demonstrable experience being directly accountable for a small DevOps team, while delivering a successful outcome for clients.
  • Can create effort and cost estimates for small delivery teams.
  • Ability to drive completion of small DevOps strategy initiatives, including maturity assessment, roadmap creation, future blueprint.
  • Can coordinate medium-sized team change management operations (i.e. training delivery)
  • Ability to train internal or client teams in technologies (Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Docker, Monitoring tools etc)
  • Ability to train internal or client teams in DevOps practices, acting as Scrum Master when required.

What academic qualifications do you need?

  • Undergraduate University degree (2:1) or equivalent: Technical/ Engineering/ Computer science background is an advantage.
  • Industry recognized certification in Agile is an advantage
