Quality Assurance Lead- KYC/AML


Location: Newcastle

Contract: 12 Month FTC

Salary: Up to £45k per annum


An exciting new role has arisen for a KYC/AML QA Lead in Newcastle.

The candidate will be responsible for quality within the Newcastle Delivery Centre, whilst being expected to operate as a reference point globally working within a large KYC Remediation team, responsible for several activities aligned with the remediation of Know Your Customer activity for corporate / commercial customers.


The candidate must have a detailed knowledge of the following: quality assurance framework, continuous improvement initiatives, KYC Remediation, risk classification, PEPs investigation and knowledge of regulatory environment.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for the performance for the site quality team at a macro level ensuring quality checks are performed the required standards

  • Accountable for taking the learnings of the quality checks & implementing responses to thematic findings
  • Interlock with the local delivery team in individual actions required to address specific quality challenges
  • Manage the process for appealing quality results both internally & with external quality function
  • Own local quality internal communications
  • Provide coaching/feedback to enhance quality functions performance
  • Act as an escalation point for project – providing clear and concise guidance in line with agreed project policies/procedures
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders at all levels – especially Global QA Lead/Local QA Leads and Process / Training Functions
  • Chair / Attend key quality forums, discussing and highlighting key quality trends with the delivery team
  • Provide updates to Leadership on performance of Delivery Centre
  • Maintain flexibility to address any quality issues with occur in a proactive way

Experience required:


·       Good working knowledge on Institutional cash KYC

·       Minimum 3 years’ experience in the financial service sector

·       Minimum 3 years’ experience of running a department

·       Strong experience of addressing quality issues

·       Experience of working with external QA/Audit functions

·       Will show a passion for improving quality

·       Can articulate challenges in written or verbal feedback to stakeholder at all level

·       Can facilitate the development of & implementation of quality improvements

Must work well as part of a team
