What responsibilities will you have?


As an experienced Lead Java Developer, you’ll be responsible for leading development teams who design cutting edge technical solutions for a major Financial Services client based in the North West.

What skills & experience are we looking for?


·         Significant Java Development experience (ideally in the Banking sector) building applications for Android; tablet and mobile is highly desirable

·         Proven experience in developing systems and using development methodologies for Financial Institutions

·         Excellent understanding of JSE, JSON, JEE (JDBC, EJB, JSP, Servlets) and XML based technologies.

·         Proven knowledge of database fundamentals using SQL on Oracle or Sybase, and an understanding of object relational mapping technologies.

·         Strong software development process knowledge, including re-factoring, test-driven development, lifecycle methodologies, the Rational Unified Process, agile development methods etc.

·         Complete understanding of Web Services and their use in Java implementations.

·         Fundamental grasp of object-oriented design, multi-threaded programming and distributed systems in a real-time environment.

·         Knowledge of Web application design using Servlets and JSPs, as well as HTML based technologies and interface design using Swing or extended libraries (JGoodies, SwingX) ideal.

·         Working knowledge of Perl, Python, TCL or Unix scripting.

·         Working knowledge of Node.JS
