Role: Data Architecture Senior Manager (Global Revenue Practice)

Location: London, Manchester, Newcastle

Salary: £90,000 - £112,000

Travel: up to 100% (variable)

As a Global Revenue Practice Data Architecture Senior Manager in our H&PS practice you’ll often be:

·       An integral part of the wider Global Revenue Practice who provide the opportunity to support our Revenue (tax) administration clients with deep industry insight and skills.

·       Working within the Global Revenue Practice, the Data Architecture Senior Manager will be responsible for supporting work across a range of Revenue clients, helping them and our teams understand and address the data related challenges that Revenue agencies need to address.

·       Taking a leading role in helping our client unlock the value from the data they hold and have the appropriate architectures, strategies and processes in place to manage it effectively in the future.

·       Directly supporting client work and develop data architecture related assets and thought leadership related to Revenue administrations.

 

You should have experience with some of the following:

·       A background in data architecture including experiences from data architecture solution implementation, product selection and definition, configuration, migration and transformations between cloud and hosted solutions.

·       Demonstrate not only an understanding of the different aspects of data architecture, but also creation of business cases for development of data architecture and lifecycle strategies, implementation plans and estimates; an understanding of the procs and cons of different approaches; and an ability to work independently throughout the full data management lifecycle.

·       Your background will be in data architecture including experiences from data architecture solution implementation.

You will need:

 

·       A passion for Data Architecture

·       Ideally already have Revenue Industry experience

·       Experience with high volume data sets ideally related to financial transactions and risk

·       Leadership abilities - transfer vision into results

·       A collaborative and team-building attitude

·       To be fully mobile, often working on-site with our clients

·       Strong communication skills (speaking, writing, listening)

·       The ability to quickly build relationships with new teams is important as the work will span across multiple clients/countries.  Language skills in European languages are an advantage.

 

Technology

 

Candidates should demonstrate a detailed understanding, plus an ability to communicate to our clients, the principles of data architecture and engineering across multiple domains.  Experience should include a mix of in-depth and broader areas from:


Architecture and implementation using:

-One or more data modeling techniques and tools across all phases of the lifecycle

-Physical design and architecture of the databases/datastore.

- Expertise in architecture, behavior and use cases of different data platforms (e.g. RDBMS, NoSQL, Graph, Blockchain)

- Expertise in extracting content from data – analytical, statistical and logic skills.

- Understanding of advanced analytics.

- e.g. RDBMS, NoSQL, Graph, Big Data, Blockchain

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
