The UK and Ireland (UKI) Insurance Strategy team are looking for consultants and managers to work on strategy engagements across General (Personal and commercial) as well as life insurance sectors.

 

Key responsibilities may include:

 

Manager

  • Manage and lead consulting engagements and project teams serving as the primary interface with senior executives at client organisations
  • Lead workstreams as part of major business programmes and be responsible for rigorous analysis, to identify and validate value creation opportunities for our clients
  • Typically work within project teams designing business strategies, operating models, market propositions, pricing strategies and cost efficiency strategies
  • Develop cohesive conclusions and present key findings, typically to C-level clients
  • Coaching and mentoring analysts and consultants on the team
  • Support efforts such as recruitment, training and thought leadership
  • Engage with the wider strategy community in UKI to foster collaboration and to support growth and development of the business

Key Criteria / Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in working in strategy and management consulting and/or in the Financial Services Insurance industry.
  • Experience in Financial Services / Insurance / GI / L&P and/or strategy / marketing strategy / operations strategy roles in industry
  • Experience in leading teams in developing strategy deliverables for multiple engagements: shaping, sale, delivery and socialisation phases (Desirable)
  • Functional experience in Operating Model, Strategic Cost Reduction, Route to Market Strategy, Growth Strategy, Digital Strategy for (FS/Insurance) OR
  • Functional experience in Underwriting /Insurance Distribution/Claims/Analytics, Operations, Strategic Cost Reduction, Multi-channel Strategy, Go to Market Strategy
  • Experience in Business Case developing, Financial Modelling and demonstrated understanding of Financial Statements
  • Strong academic credentials (ideally 2:1 from a recognised university, or equivalent work experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multi-cultural teams to deliver high-quality output in short timeframes
  • A high degree of comfort with strategy frameworks and strong quantitative skills to develop financial or operational models and supervise data analysis
  • High degree of written and spoken competence in English
  • Previous strategy experience in a top tier strategy consulting firm, boutique strategy firm, or in a big 4 accountancy firm (preferred)

  • Able to transfer vision into results and to inspire others
  • Strong interest in broadening skills, as opposed to being narrowly focused
