Job Location: London (preferred) / Manchester

Schedule: Full-time

Salary: £40,000 - £100,000

Travel: up to 80%

Your Role:

The role is within a specialized cloud-native architecture team.  Your key focus areas:


> Helping Clients to turn their strategy into reality for the next generation of cloud-based applications running on AWS, enabling the transition from traditional platforms to NewIT cloud ready architectures;


> Designing, prototyping, and delivering applications and solutions on full-stack AWS technologies, leveraging its rich native services offering, to respond to clients’ needs for cost-efficiency, increased competition, and agility to respond to new business opportunities;


> Serving as an AWS evangelist, educating customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS;


> Creating thought leadership on AWS solutions and hybrid cloud;


Your Responsibilities:


> Creating business cases for technology and organisational transformation to enable migration to or utilisation of AWS and hybrid cloud;


> Assessing and recommending the best of breed AWS technology solutions to address client needs;


> Developing solution architecture, implementation plans and estimates;


> Designing and deploying enterprise-wide dynamically scalable, highly available, fault tolerant, secure and reliable applications on AWS full-stack;


> Acting as an AWS Solution Architect, supporting delivery teams with migrating complex, multi-tier applications, or building new capabilities, on AWS and implementing appropriate cost control strategies;


> Creating innovative, reusable solutions using AWS that can be taken to market;


> Mentoring and developing skills of Junior Architects;

What we are after:
We're looking for people who can work through the lifecycle of a project. Dependent on experience we are recruiting at all levels, from Consultant to Senior Manager.
You will need:
> A passion for Technology Architecture and Delivery;
> Experience in developing trusted relationships with clients at Senior levels;
> Leadership abilities - transfer vision into results;
> A collaborative and team-building attitude;
> Ability to travel and work on-site with our clients;
> Strong communication skills (speaking, writing, listening);
Your Technology skills: 
You have deep, hands-on design and development background in AWS, across a wide range of AWS services.
You will likely have completed the following training:
> AWS Technical Essentials
> Architecting on AWS
> Advanced Architecting on AWS
You must have a current certification in at least one of:
> Certified AWS Solutions Architect – Professional OR
> Certified AWS Solutions Architect – Associate OR
> Certified DevOps Engineer-Professional OR
> Certified Developer-Associate
Experience in the following domains and technologies is valued:
> Deep, hands-on design and development background in AWS, across a wide range of AWS services;
> Knowledge of DevOps technologies around Continuous Integration & Delivery;
> Familiarity with various delivery methodologies including Agile;
> Hands on experience on container technologies is a plus;
Your Industry & Functional skills:
Our team has the freedom to operate in multiple industries, including Financial Services, Resources, Products, Communications and Health & Public Services. We welcome all Industry backgrounds.
Your Qualifications:
> Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or another relevant field;
> Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in architecting, designing or implementing solutions on AWS;
> AWS certified professional;
