Accenture Digital is powered by three practices –Mobility, Interactive, and Analytics. As part of our Analytics practice, you’ll deliver analytically-informed, issue-based solutions that help clients make faster, smarter decisions. You’ll play a critical role in helping them tackle complex business issues.


We require a senior API Architect with strong Enterprise Architecture background. The successful applicant will have extensive experience in defining Enterprise SOA architecture, products and services based on SOA products from either Tibco, Oracle or IBM. Architecting API services using products such as Apigee, Akana, MuleSoft or WSO2 would be a definite plus.


Key responsibilities:

·        Technical leadership - making and influencing strategic architectural decisions for our clients and defining standards and best practice.

·        Platform architecture and solution ownership – end-to-end – evaluation of platform vendors, defining architecture, sizing capacity, development, BAU etc.

·        Align back-end SOA services with API demand

·        Provide implementation guidance to development teams

·        Assist scope management with respect of budget with PM / Scrum masters

·        Create and maintain platform and solutions domain knowledge with the business, developers, QA



·        Proven track record architecting end-to-end SOA service in an Enterprise environment

·        Deep understanding of SOAP, and familiarity with WSDL, WADL, XML 

·        Deep understanding of RESTful services, HTTP, JSON, Ajax, familiarity with RAML

·        Familiarity with Swagger or RAML

·        Experience with SOA/ESB products from either Tibco, Oracle or IBM

·        Detailed understanding of modern identity standards – OAuth, OpenID Connect, Mobile Connect

·        Understanding of the software delivery processes (e.g. PRINCE2 and Scrum) – requirements management in particular

·        Must be an excellent communicator, and capable of working independently in complex and challenging environments

·        In this role, leadership, decision making and influencing skills are necessary




  • Experience with API exposure platforms – either Apigee, Akana, MuleSoft or WSO2
  • Familiarity with enterprise software delivery tools – Enterprise Architect, Jira, Git etc
  • Programming skills – Java, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5
