Salary:Between 31k and 70k

Job Description

The Engineering group sits within our Advanced Technology practice. We are now looking to grow our UK team with technology-savvy engineers at all levels to support clients’ business through IT and business transformations.

 

Working in the Engineering group, you will be a key technical individual on the project team whose responsibilities will include:

  • Hands-on design, development and delivery of complex full-stack technical solutions using a broad mix of technologies and languages
  • Working with clients to define their technical strategy and direction
  • Supporting the requirements definition of a project
  • Leading small/medium sized teams in the end-to-end delivery of projects

 

As an Engineer, your will be working closely with Accenture and client co-located teams supporting end-to-end full-stack technical implementations. You will not be afraid to operate outside of your comfort level and learn new technologies whilst still applying the principles from your technical area of expertise. As a full-stack Engineer you understand the latest trends and buzz words within the industry and can talk confidently about these with both client and Accenture stakeholders.

 

In addition to your immediate project responsibilities, you will be willing to help grow others through knowledge transfer sessions, support sessions and active involvement within the Engineering and Advanced Technology communities.

    • A strong hands-on technologist across multiple technologies/programming languages
    • A passion for technology architecture/delivery with a technical problem solving mindset
    • The ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
    • A desire to progress with your career whilst remaining hands-on with Technology

    • Programming (multiple languages – e.g. Java, C#, .NET) and Programming concepts (e.g. OO skills, design patterns)
    • API / Microservices design and development
    • DevOps
    • Persistence Technologies
    • Infrastructure & Platform Technologies
    • Virtualization Technologies (e.g. Docker)
    • Cloud
    • Artificial Intelligence / Automation
    • Database technologies
    • Technical Architecture & Design
    • Automated testing
    • Agile, Lean Continuous Integration approaches and best practices (e.g. SCRUM, TDD, pair programming, continuous integration etc.)
  • Other Required Skills
    • Strong communications skills
    • Experience working across all phases of the lifecycle across multiple industries
    • Experience working and building strong relationships within a client environment
    • Ability to apply experience to ensure successful client and Accenture teams
    • Experience working as an individual or within co-located team environments
    • A flexibility towards travel
    • (for senior roles) Experience shaping and delivering small to medium size pieces of work 
    • (for senior roles) Experience mobilizing and shaping technical teams
    • (for senior roles) The confidence and poise to become the trusted advisor of senior and board level client executives
 
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
 
Accenture will be recruiting at the following levels: Analyst, Senior Analyst, Team Lead, Associate Manager and Manager level.
