Accenture is currently initiating a large number of engagements with our clients that involve bringing innovation to technology delivery. As such, we are working to recruit DevOps professionals into Accenture’s UK DevOps Practice. You'll be part of a growing network of  technology delivery experts, who design, build and implement the platforms used by Accenture across IT systems for a broad range of clients within many industries. As a DevOps and Continuous Delivery professional your primary focus will be on designing and implementing automated platforms which will support the  delivery of resilient  technology solutions.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Design, experiment with, and implement Software Defined Infrastructure using cloud best practices.
  • Engineer solutions using AWS services (Cloud Formation, EC2, Lambda, Route 53, ECS, EFS etc.).
  • Architect and implement elastic and server-less infrastructure using auto-scaling and lambda services.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using emerging technologies such as Terraform and Packer.
  • Work with cutting edge tools like Docker Swarm, Kubernetes and Open Shift.
  • Develop and implement instrumentation for monitoring the health and availability of services including fault detection, alerting, triage, and recovery (automated and manual).
  • Work in conjunction with IT, engineering, and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements.
  • Working with and enhancing open source projects such as the Accenture DevOps Platform
Basic Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of key DevOps concepts – Continuous Integration and Delivery.
  • Excellent knowledge of Cloud concepts – IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
  • Practical hands-on experience working on AWS using key services such as Cloud Formation, EC2, Lambda, Route 53, ECS, EFS etc.
  • Good knowledge on Docker and container orchestrations tools like Docker Swarm and Kubernetes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Infrastructure Architecture – designing high availability, performant and secure solutions using Public/Private cloud.
  • Design and delivery of IT systems for a broad range of clients using technologies such as:
    • Development platforms e.g. Java, JavaScript, .Net, SAP, MuleSoft ESB, Oracle Fusion.
    • Tools e.g. Jenkins, Git, Jira, Ansible, Docker, ELK, Nexus, SonarQube, Ansible.
    • Cloud platforms e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Compute Engine.
  • Working within an agile environment, including the use of Scrum and Kanban.
Note: Accenture will be recruiting at the Application Development Associate Level. Accenture is a meritocratic organisation. Joiners at this role and level can expect to progress all the way to a Managing Director level based on merits.
