Mobility: up to 100%
Location: London or Manchester
Salary: £47,000 - £59,000 plus benefits

We are looking for candidates with a broad set of technology skills to provide thought leadership, advisory and implementation experience for robust Big Data solutions and to grow big data skills and capabilities. This role is for a candidate who has helped deliver multiple Big Data projects and is able to use that experience to help advice and support our clients with their big data delivery projects.
As a big data Consultant in our Technology Advisory Practice, you will be responsible for guiding the full lifecycle of a Big Data solution: Core Responsibilities:
  • Use case and business case development
  • Vendor landscape and technology assessment across all the architecture layers (covering vendors such as Cloudera, Tableau, QlikView, hortonworks etc)
  • Full lifecycle implementation from requirements analysis, platform selection, technical architecture design, application design and development, testing, and deployment
  • Assess emerging trends in storage access which includes the application of existing high performance distributed file system storage technologies for use by applications in lieu to traditional relational database storage methods
Required Capabilities:
  • Deep experience across systems integration, information management, data management and business analytics
  • Experience with large-scale, multi-release information centric projects
  • End to end implementation of at least 1 big data project data quality, data integration, NoSQL, predictive analytics
  • Ability to support business development activities to articulate Accenture's Data Platform technical capabilities and help shape and communicate proposed solutions to client executives and architects
  • A professional, constructive and reliable approach to work; a team-player who is equally comfortable in small to large teams, working closely day to day with our clients on site
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; able to present complex ideas and solutions to audiences of varying levels
  • The ability to develop creative and breakthrough solutions.
  • Experience working through organizational change, with a demonstrated track record of continuing responsibilities, creativity and innovation, including evidence of solution design.
  • An ability to identify the root causes of issues by analysing patterns and trends.
  • An awareness of key methodologies, approaches and market trends in the industry.
  • A desire to deliver to a high standard in a suitable timeframe.
  • Self-motivating, adaptable, able to prioritize and also able to inspire and motivate others.
