Location: London or Manchester

Travel: Up to 100%

Salary: £45,000 - £114,000

Technology Advisory is part of Accenture’s Consulting Practice within Financial Services. We architect, plan, design, build and implement solutions for clients in the UK, Europe and around the globe. The Resilience & Security service line are seeking Consultants at all levels with particular focus on IT and Business Resilience. The successful candidate would have a strong understanding and experience with Resilience across Financial Services organisations. Particular skillsets of preference would include some, or all, of the following:

 

What responsibilities will you have?

  • Responsible for leading the definition and design of programme plans in accordance with industry and Accenture best practice
  • Defining a solution's cost-of-ownership, and promoting a clear and consistent business vision through technical architectures
  • Interact with C-suite executives and senior management levels at a client and/or within Accenture, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters
  • Manage large teams and/or work efforts at a client or within Accenture
  • Act as a quality reviewer of project manager output, to include project plan, RAID management, budget reviews
  • Conduct critical analysis of infrastructure security projects, with a view to recommending changes to improve project delivery and reduce costs
  • Provide support for sales and solution architects; assist in creating proposals, including solution alternatives and the identified cost of ownership for individual architectures
  • Identify the appropriate commercial structures, considering use of time and materials and fixed price outcome based solutions
  • Support third party engagements and shape statements of work ensuring value for money for Accenture and clients
What skills & experience are we looking for?
  • Experience with design and implementation of specific approaches like “containment” to increase Resilience
  • Experience with Regulatory response around IT Resilience (specifically S166 audit / response, or recent Dear Chairman II Exercise response).
  • Understanding of Resilience in the context of IT Operational Risk and setting up Target Operating Models
  • Understanding the challenges of C-suite board members in managing Resilience
  • Experience in defining or working with end to end customer service mapping from service to application, through to core infrastructure.
  • Understanding around the relationship between resilience and IT security
  • Ability to understand clients’ needs and expectations, as well as alternative architectures and trends
  • Deep understanding of overall delivery lifecycle and supporting methodologies and processes
  • A strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts and architectures, including IT network, operating system and Middleware configurations
  • Experience with solutions and products in an IT resilience domain, including Service management and enterprise architecture toolsets
  • Technology programme management experience in an IT organisation preferably in the financial services industry
  • Hands-on delivery or involvement in large, major IT change programmes
  • Leading teams of 20+ resources, preferably across multiple geographies
What academic qualifications do you need?
  • Bachelor's Degree (2:1 or equivalent)
