FS Technology Advisory is part of Accenture’s Technology Consulting Practice within Financial Services. We architect, plan, design, build and implement Cloud solutions for clients in the UK, Europe and around the globe. The Cloud Enablement service line assists clients in transforming and migrating their core infrastructure and application estate into private/public cloud services. We help our clients deliver a cloud strategy and define the target state required to support the digital business, simplify operating models and driving significant cost savings.
 
As a Consultant within the Cloud Enablement group, you will lead a broad range of cloud functions from helping our clients define their strategy through to managing the delivery of a transformation roadmap.  You will lead delivery teams, bringing together our portfolio of businesses to bring the best of Accenture to our clients.
 
We expect our consultants to be always relevant, bringing our clients expertise and experience in Cloud Computing technology and solutions. Our consultants must combine industry and technology relevance with strong delivery experience and capability specific to Financial Services.
 
What responsibilities will you have?
  • Lead the delivery of cloud strategy for FS clients through to managing their transformation journey working closely with other cloud capability groups within Accenture.
  • Establish yourself as an FS cloud expert acting as an advisor to our clients helping them unlock the journey to cloud by addressing key areas of consideration such as Risk & Compliance, Cloud Operating Model, Application Transformation Strategy, Cloud Security, Business Case, etc.
  • In addition to client advisory and delivery, lead business development activities helping to originate and capture new opportunities and growing Accenture’s cloud business within FS
  • Contribute and participate in the Global Technology Advisory Cloud Strategy Hub to create points of view and thought leadership initiatives that are relevant to our client’s needs
  • Developing and presenting at industry conferences as an expert in the Cloud enablement area
  • With a strong focus on leadership, grow, develop and support cloud team members
What skills & experience are we looking for?
  • First-hand experience in planning, designing and implementing Cloud solutions for clients preferably within the Financial Services Industry
  • Understanding the value proposition of Cloud with the desire and commitment to become a visionary thought leader
  • A good understanding of the risks, regulatory nuances and security implications of deploying Cloud XaaS technologies within our Financial Services industry.
  • Ability to lead strategy through to managing delivery of Infrastructure, Platform or Software Cloud programs.
  • A good understanding of 2-4 of the following cloud technology and solutions
    • IaaS (VMware, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM Software)
    • PaaS (RedHat, Pivotal, Cloud Foundry, IBM Bluemix, Heroku, etc)
    • Cloud container solutions such as Docker, Kubernetes
    • SaaS implementation (SFDC, Workday, Success factors, etc)
  • Comfortable working with both waterfall and agile methodologies and exposure across the full delivery lifecycle
  • Broad range of skills, including business acumen, interpersonal, analytical and team working skills
  • A wealth of experience and a proven track record of working within a consultancy environment
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with ability to build, manage and foster a strong, dynamic team environment
What academic qualifications do you need?
  • A wealth of experience and a proven track record of working within a delivery, cloud, project oriented, consultancy environment
  • Industry recognized certification in cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure, SFDC, CCP, CCSK, CISSP etc.)
  • Hands on management experience of projects using a standardized set of project management disciplines
  • Proven record of Cloud solutioning, technical writing and presentation, and report generation exposure
  • Previous experiences of managing teams of 5 or more resources in FS industry
  • Bachelor's Degree attaining 2:1 or equivalent
