Our UK Sales Support Team (SST) plays a pivotal role in our business by supporting all sales opportunities across Accenture irrespective of industry, capability and offering. We provide a wide range of services to opportunity specific sales teams. This includes, client responses writing, customised research, case study searching, editorial and proof reading services as well as end-to-end management of proposal delivery to clients. Our team comprises of both onshore and offshore individuals in the delivery of our services, giving team members a chance to gain experience of cross-cultural working.
We are looking for enthusiastic and diligent graduates to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, which may be extended with the possibility of being offered a permanent role at the end of a 12-month period.

As a Business Support Analyst at Accenture you will be able to undertake a variety of work across a range of industries, clients and offerings. You will work with the team to support sales teams across the business, taking opportunities through different stages of the Accenture Sales process. The activities you would undertake may include:
Undertaking research to source specialised responses and content for proposals
Providing and authoring responses and content for sales proposals for clients
Identifying case studies and references to demonstrate past client successes
Performing editorial and proof reading
Engaging with other internal teams to source and validate sales information
Assist with the development of our library of sales materials
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working across a variety of industries and you’ll build awareness of the internal sales process, tools and assets of a large global company. You’ll also become familiar with a broad range of clients and offerings and benefit from a host of internal training programmes.
Salary: £22,000 pro rata
We consider applicants from all academic disciplines. You’ll need to have or be expecting a minimum 2:1 in your first undergraduate degree, or equivalent international undergraduate degree and you’ll need at least 280 UCAS points across your top three A-Levels (that's BBB or equivalent).
We are looking for candidates who are inquisitive, resourceful and have an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail and focus on quality will be first-rate and you’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Sales and wider business experience will be valued.

What attracted me to Accenture was the variety of industries that Accenture work for and the opportunity to be involved in providing cutting edge technology that can improve efficiency for businesses all over the world.
I provide all kinds of support for sales teams in the run up to submission of proposals to clients. My main role is supporting the day-to-day running of the bid to the client. This can be anything from helping write responses on Accenture’s capability in certain areas, to meeting the clients and learning about their business needs and how Accenture can help. Since joining the Sales team I have worked across a wide range of industries but have recently focused on Health and Public Service sales, specifically in Police and Justice.
My top tip for applicants applying to the Sales Internship at Accenture would be to keep in mind that no two days will be the same, that there will be some late nights as submission dates come in but that there are excellent people to work for and a huge variety of opportunities to get involved in.
The role is incredibly varied and one of the benefits is that your role is somewhat loosely defined – you can become as involved as you want with your bids. I have worked mainly on large Resources bids during my first year in the UK Sales Support Team in a capacity that has included some very light certification hunting to full-time client proposal writing and management.
The most valuable thing I have learnt during my time on the Sales team is where I want to steer my own career. Without the variety of opportunities we get to support on the UK Sales Team I would have found myself with a much narrower view of the company’s capabilities. Here, I have been given the opportunity to explore the business and make informed decisions about my own career strategy.
What made me want to work for Accenture? The sheer breadth of our involvement within the global economy. You’ll be hard pressed to find a country, an industry or sector where Accenture doesn’t have some level of involvement!
Currently I am the Demand and Capacity Manger and the Training and Capability Lead for the UK Sales Support Team. I am responsible for reviewing all sales opportunities, highlighting the areas where the UK SST can support and assigning appropriate resources. This part of my role focuses on stakeholder management, expectation setting and effective communications. The secondary part of my role as the Training and Capability Lead develops the appropriate skills for all team members to enable them to exceed their client expectations and the needs of the business.
The most valuable thing I have learnt during my time on the team is the power of Accenture’s network. If you don’t know something, someone else will. This is particularly true within the Sales Team and our wider community so don’t be afraid to ask questions.
There is a great culture at Accenture. The employees, irrespective of level, are happy to take time out to support your career objectives. The Leadership team recognise that Interns and Analysts are the talent of the future therefore take development and personal growth seriously. The support network is fantastic!
