Tech Vision 2017: An overview
By: Michael Biltz

This is the first article in a series that looks at our Technology Vision 2017. We have distilled the five trends that sit within this report into short videos that see our experts unravel key questions around this year's themes.

Our yearly Technology Vision report pinpoints the emerging IT developments that will have the greatest impact on our communities, our companies, government agencies and other organisations in the next three years. Viewed as a whole, the Technology Vision themes provide a guidepost for the way companies must consider their resources, responsibilities and opportunities for success in the years to come.

Themes are prioritised according to the following criteria:

  • Actionable today

  • Highly relevant to an organisation's transformation within three years

  • Having significant impact beyond any one industry "silo"

  • Disruptive beyond a straightforward one-for-one replacement of an existing solution

  • Transcending any one vendor or discrete product technology

In this year's Technology Vision, the five identified trends underscore the importance of focusing on "Technology for People" to achieve digital success. This first video in the series provides an overview of all five trends, featuring Michael Biltz, Managing Director of Accenture Technology Vision.
