The Alan Turing Institute is the national centre for data science, created in 2015 with the mission to make great leaps in data science research to change the world for the better. In November 2016 they became the national centre for artificial intelligence (AI), adding to their data science mission.
The Institute has cross-disciplinarity at its core; they bring researchers in a variety of areas and industry partners together, to work in an open and collaborative environment under a shared goal, generating world-class research. Their researchers are motivated by driving impact, both through theoretical development and application to real-world problems.
Everyone is talking about artificial intelligence. From boardrooms to factory floors, from call centres to logistics fleets, and from governments to venture capitalists, artificial intelligence (AI) is suddenly the hottest topic in town. But is AI anything more than the latest technology buzzword? The answer is yes. In fact, AI might just be the single biggest technology revolution the world has ever seen.
We are delighted to have cemented a 3-year alliance between Accenture and The Alan Turing Institute. This will see us work together to develop next generation artificial intelligence (AI) and data science approaches to drive real-world business and social impact.
