Accenture to Hire 150 People in Newcastle

Recruitment drive under way to fill highly skilled technology roles


NEWCASTLE; Oct. 7, 2014 – Accenture (NYSE:ACN) plans to hire 150 people for highly skilled technology positions in its Delivery Centre in Newcastle by the end of its fiscal year, Aug. 31, 2015. The company is currently recruiting to fill the new roles, which will focus on developing, testing and managing IT applications for clients across a range of industries.

Accenture is seeking professionals at all levels with application development skills in digital technologies and Java programming. The Newcastle location is part of the Accenture Global Delivery Network, which offers solutions across custom systems, leading technology platforms and emerging technologies, including cloud, mobility, analytics, interactive and big data.

Accenture recently hired 20 people in its Newcastle location as part of its UK Technology Apprenticeship Programme. Launched in Newcastle in 2012, the programme has been expanded to the company’s London, Warwick and Newbury offices, all of which will take on new hires. Accenture in the UK now has a total of 100 apprentices.
