About Laura

Laura Gurski is senior managing director and global industry lead of Accenture’s consumer goods and services practice, where she oversees the development and delivery of customer service, commerce, operational and sales transformation services.

Laura and her team work with consumer goods companies to help create market differentiation, reach global markets and deliver efficient operating models, processes that manage scale and complexity, and strategies to drive growth.

Laura formerly led Accenture’s Customer and Channels Consulting Practice globally for Products—overseeing the development and delivery of marketing, customer service, commerce, and sales transformation services to clients in the automotive, consumer goods, industrial, life sciences, retail, and travel industries.

Laura’s previous experience includes more than 20 years of consulting at A.T. Kearney, where she most recently led its services and industry practices—overseeing 3,500 consultants. Previously, she was head of the company’s global Consumer Products and Retail practice where she focused on driving profitability through growth strategy and organization transformation. She has significant experience working with retailers and consumer packaged goods companies around the globe. The focus of Laura’s consulting engagements is driving profitability through growth strategy and organization transformation.

In her career, Laura has held senior positions in brand management, merchant, and product marketing.

In 2011 Laura was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Consultants by Consulting Magazine. She is widely quoted on business issues in print and broadcast publications—including CNBC, Bloomberg, National Public Radio, New York Times, Financial Times, Associated Press and Reuters.

Laura is a member of the Chicago Network and the Executives’ Club of Chicago. Laura has served on various local charitable Boards and, formerly on an outside public company board for GP Strategies.

Laura earned her MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, with an emphasis in strategy, finance, and international business. Her international studies were in China (including mainland and Hong Kong). Her Bachelor of Science is from Northern Illinois University, with an emphasis on Marketing and French.
