Software Engineering Graduate Programme

Use your passion, expertise, judgement and in-depth understanding of technical capabilities to help us create winning solutions.

The way we harness and use technology is one of our strengths. This comes from the expert teams we assemble to build and deliver the incredible projects our clients demand. On this programme, you’ll get to work with some of the most advanced technologies on the market, increasing your specialist skills and helping to transform the businesses of our clients across the globe.

Join us here and your passion, expertise, judgement and in-depth understanding of technical capabilities will help us create winning solutions. As an associate, you’ll be designing, building and supporting the innovative technical solutions we’re renowned for. As well as understanding what our clients want to achieve, you’ll discover what’s possible within their existing framework and explore the best technologies to achieve the most effective results. Working with onshore and offshore teams, you’ll work on a variety of challenging projects for a range of clients, across a range of industries.

IT skills are essential. So, you’ll need a bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or a technology-related subject. However, if you have a real passion and flair for technology, as well as an understanding of how it can be used, we’ll also consider a maths, science or engineering bachelor’s degree. You’ll have a real interest in software engineering and end-to-end design and delivery, and you’ll also know a thing or two about programming. Overall, we’re looking for a willingness to try new things, a desire for self-improvement and a strong work ethic.

The first part of the process is to fill out an application profile which includes a psychometric questionnaire. Along with attaching your most up to date CV, we will ask you to provide some details of your background, experience, skills and education. Although this stage can be completed in under 10 minutes, you can exit and revisit the page as many times as you like before submitting. If your profile meets our role requirements and is identified as a good fit for the company and our culture, we will progress you through to the next stage.

You will then be asked to complete a series of short online assessments. This stage gives you the opportunity to prove your cognitive and functional ability, tech acuity and business acumen. From start to finish the assessments should take no longer than 1 hour to complete. Since they are untimed, you are welcome to start and stop the assessments as you wish and complete them at your leisure. If you excel across all areas, we will then progress you to the third and final stage.

At this stage you are required to attend a 3-hour Assessment Centre in our London office. The Assessment Centres will take you through a series of exercises that will give you insight into life at Accenture while allowing you to showcase your potential for the role. Some exercises such as the Virtual Reality segment and 1:1 interview will require you to participate on your own and others such as the business challenge will require you to work together with other candidates. You will be informed of the outcome within 10-15 business days.
