Corporate citizenship is a way for Accenture to contribute to social, ecological and economical sustainability, and make a difference in the communities where we operate. We believe it is our responsibility to address some of today’s most pressing societal needs. We drive innovation to improve the way world works and leverage our global capabilities and digital technologies to make a measurable difference around the world. Corporate citizenship is powered by our people, who bring to life our vision by delivering the same commitment, innovation and bold vision to our corporate citizenship efforts, as they do to our other clients. Our activities vary from closing unemployment gaps through Skills to Succeed to taking responsibility for environmental stewardship. As a part of our corporate citizenship efforts, Accenture Development Partnerships works with leading international development organizations to address the world’s social, economic and environmental issues.
In Finland, we cooperate with variety of partners within the nonprofit sector. Our main partners are Finnish Red Cross, Plan International Finland and Finnish Church Aid, and we actively work with other CSOs as well. Currently, Accenture is working together with the Finnish Red Cross to enhance the employability of asylum seekers through a detailed on-the-job-learning program, for instance. In addition, we contribute work, provide consulting services and make donations to our nonprofit partners. We also provide diverse volunteering opportunities and corporate citizenship themed events to our employees to promote and discuss social, ecological and economical sustainability.
