DMN Consultant – AI & Data | Technology

As a DMN Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing decision models that translate complex business requirements into clear, scalable decision logic. You will work closely with business analysts, data professionals, and technology teams to enable automated and explainable decision-making solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing decision models and rules using DMN standards
- Collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective decision logic
- Implementing and maintaining decision solutions using rule engines, and workflow tools
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for DMN- and decisioning-related issues
- Contributing to scalable, automated, and client-impacting AI & Data solutions
Documenting decision models, rules, and development processes to ensure transparency and long-term maintainability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in DMN and decision modeling
Required qualifications and skills
- Strong experience with DMN and decision modeling
- Experience in DMN rule development and decision modeling with DMN standards and tools (e.g. IBM BAMOE, Camunda, Drools, IBM ODM or similar platforms).
- Hands-on experience with rule engines, and workflow tools
- Exposure to AI, Data, analytics, or data-driven solutions
- Experience with relevant programming or modeling tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English; Finnish is considered an advantage
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience from consulting or client-facing roles
- Familiarity with cloud platforms or modern data architecture
- Domain experience in areas such as financial services, insurance, or public sector
