Transition is the phase that takes place before the Service Delivery & Execution. In Transition, we define a set of activities that are executed following a plan with the objective of taking the delivery without service disruption, in a well organized manner, following a solid and proven methodology and leveraging tools that make knowledge transfer more efficient.

The Transition & Knowledge Transfer lead is a key piece within the Transition team.  The person in this role will work in the detailed plan, according to Accenture methodology and will track and coordinate that the following workstreams are executed:

  • People and communication
  • Knowledge transfer
  • Technology and workplace
  • Service management
  • Operating model


Qualifications

.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage major workstreams of a Service Transition program and/or act as the program manager for multiple smaller Service Transition programs
  • Manage overall internal/external client relationships during various stages of the transition/mobilization/solution realization process
  • Support Mobilization Portfolio Leadership and Outsourcing Solution Architects on Deal Shape teams by creating response materials to Requests for Information and Request for Proposals
  • Support Transition Program Manager in the estimation of costs and developing work plans for a work stream. Review these cost models and suggest changes, if necessary, in order to validate the cost and benefit of the Solution Blueprint
  • Provide support in the sales process around the capabilities of Service Transition and their value, able to represent Mobilization from a specific work stream and overall transition perspective
  • Lead detailed designs and delivery of at least one significant workstream of the Solution Blueprint working with the overall Outsourcing Solution Architect
  • Manage the development and deployment of Transition and/or Mobilization deliverables
  • May lead a team, allocate resources & responsibilities and evaluate direct report
  • Contribute to Mobilization capabilities to include method & asset development, knowledge capital harvesting and participation in a Mobilization committee
  • Lead/participate in global Outsourcing initiatives to improve and grow the practice
  • Some examples may be: managing less than $1M transition budget; or managing a low # of FTEs in scope (less than 25); or leading a simple transition (small new contract or add-on scope to an existing client, typically in one service offering
