Our Resources Operating Group serves the chemicals, energy, forest products and building materials, metals, mining, and utilities industries. With market conditions driving energy companies to seek new ways of creating value for shareholders, deregulation and climate change fundamentally reforming the utilities industry and yielding cross-border opportunities, and an intensive focus on productivity and portfolio management in the chemicals industry, we are working with clients to create innovative solutions that are designed to help them differentiate themselves in the marketplace and gain competitive advantage.
 

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.
  • Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.
  • Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems. 
  • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor. May interact with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture. 
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with guidance.
    Decisions often impact the team in which they reside. 
  • Manages small teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.
Basic Qualifications
 
• 2-3 years of Consulting experience, in the Energy Industry
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations analysis, or a related field from an accredited college/university; MBA from an accredited college/university preferred
• Ability to travel 100 %
 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • 2-3 years of Downstream experience
  • Consulting experience with a top tier consulting firm strongly preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to diagnose, explain, and resolve complex business, process and technology problems
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, lead presentations, and communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively
  • Ability to manage up and interact effectively with client executives, vendors and third party providers
