OUR CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP STRATEGY & APPROACH
Both on a global and a local scale, corporate citizenship is central to our vision to improve the way the world works and lives—from closing employment gaps to advancing client sustainability to accelerating gender equality in the workforce. Our global capabilities, digital experience, and innovation mindset help us develop solutions that address a wide range of societal issues.
Together with our people, partners, and clients, we focus on creating economic growth, tackling social challenges, and promoting environmental sustainability in our communities. Further, by advancing programs that reduce skill gaps, inequality, and climate change, we are addressing the United Nations’ Global Goals and contributing to the new sustainable development agenda. Everything we do to execute our strategy and deliver our vision comes to life through our approximately 411,000 people. Accenture people represent a wide variety of cultures, ethnicities, religious beliefs, and languages. This rich diversity makes our company smarter, more competitive, and more innovative, which helps us better serve our clients and our communities.

DIVERSITY IN ACTION
Our people are our strongest asset – we are a people business and diversity is our strength. Inclusion, equality, and diversity are fundamental to our core values. This involves all of us and has to do with how we respect and value each other despite our differences. Accenture is an inclusive workplace where we want our people to be their authentic selves – valued, safe, and willing to take risks and innovate. We have established various diversity initiatives for all our people, such as Diversity Week, Pride, inclusive leadership training, and various networks. Diversity is a fact. Inclusion is a choice. Inclusion starts with all of us making an active choice. Our networks include:
The LGBT+ Network is a forum for all our LGBT + employees. The network creates a safe and confidential space for LGBT+ employees to express themselves freely and share stories, questions, and challenges from both professional and private life. Other activities include the planning and organization of Accenture’s participation in the Copenhagen Pride Parade, other inclusion and diversity-related events in the office, and in the future, as the network grows, other activities that members are interested in. We are also proud to have many LGBT Allies among us.

The Female Leaders of Today (FLOT) Network is a platform for women from all levels and functions in Accenture. We aim to empower and strategically equip female professionals, ensure a strong support system rooted in relationships, and enhance the brand among female candidates. At our quarterly meetings, all women in Accenture Denmark have the opportunity to meet female peers and discuss various topics and issues that can help empower and support women in their Accenture career and beyond.
The overall ambition of Accenture Denmark’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Network is to empower and inspire more women in Accenture to understand and work with STEM during their Accenture career. The main goal of the STEM sessions is to demystify a given technology and provide a general understanding of how the technology actually works – and hopefully inspire the participants to explore further on their own. Participation does not require prior experience or any specific educational background. The network welcomes all Accenture women who are curious and willing to learn and gain hands-on experience with STEM-related topics and exercises.
