As Service Lead, you will be responsible for leading all kinds of service design projects and teams across accounts, supporting conceptual development, overall direction, and delivery of design artifacts.

You will have a strong appreciation for visual, interaction or business design, the ability to elegantly adapt designs across devices, and an effortless presentation style that owns and sells pitches.


We are looking for a human being who...

Has experience to ensure high-quality standards in delivering a project outcome by providing effective feedback, guidance, and mentorship to team members

Has the ability to explain, discuss, and justify design decisions eloquently by bringing visual and verbal storytelling ideas to life to engage and inspire clients, designers, and stakeholders. 

Strong verbal and visual communication skills to support pitching design and business opportunities

Has a solid understanding of human-centered design, service design, design thinking methodologies, and masters different methods and approaches within a design process with confidence 

Is proficient in using a variety of visual and interactive design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Framer, etc.) 

Has the skills and the structure to start from the “big picture,” understands the complexity of a challenge, identifies the problem to solve, and translates ideas into solutions, design artifacts, concepts, prototypes, and tangible outcomes

Has a strong passion in collaborating with people, without ego, driving design decisions in a calm, positive and participative way
Can visualize great ideas that engage and inspire clients and users
Explains, discusses, and justifies design decisions eloquently and gives effective feedback and direction to other team members
Leads the definition and creation of flexible, coherent design systems and component libraries
Collaborates with the client to define needs, business objectives, and brand goals to inform insightful concepts while enhancing others’ knowledge and understanding of the client’s brand, consumer, and competitive landscape
Understands and drives Service Design strategy, including business and user centered processes and translates learnings and discoveries into an experience system and digital touchpoints
Contributes to business development, proposal writing, client pitch efforts and/or expert point of views
has excellent English communication skills, with German knowledge as a bonus

The cherry on the cake is if …

7 + years of experience in service and interaction design in a design studio, creative consultancy, or product company. 

3+ years of experience in creative leadership and in leading teams of designers and projects across different disciplines and industries
you have an education or work experiences in Strategic Service Design, New Media, Design, HCD, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Architecture.

you have excellent leadership skills, problem resolution abilities, and good judgment
you have proven history managing cross-functional teams to create a powerful, effective, and coherent design solution
you master digital design tools like Sketch, Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite
