Cathinka Wahlstrom is Accenture’s Senior Managing Director of Financial Services for North America, responsible for guiding the development of client relationships and achieving our vision to be the premier innovation and execution partner of financial services companies in Canada and the United States.
Ms. Wahlstrom was previously Senior Managing Director responsible for Accenture’s Banking and Capital Markets client service group in the Northeast region of the United States. She led Accenture’s relationship with one of the world’s largest financial services companies for more than a decade, and she remains the executive sponsor for that account.
With more than 20 years of experience consulting to the world’s largest universal banks, investment banks and exchanges, Ms. Wahlstrom’s work has spanned mergers and acquisitions, business change and transformational programs, and technology initiatives. She has built deep client relationships and has worked extensively throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
Ms. Wahlstrom is involved in a variety of mentoring, diversity and civic initiatives. She is the President of the Accenture Foundation and she sits on the board of the New York City Ballet. She also provides executive coaching to Robin Hood Foundation-supported organizations. She is a previous board member of NPower New York, as well as a previous member of the corporate board of the Global Fund for Women. She is an alumnus of the David Rockefeller Fellows Program and a co-founder of FinTech Innovation Labs New York.
Ms. Wahlstrom has a Bachelor of Arts in economics and journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from University of California, Davis Graduate School of Management. She lives in New York City.
