As a DevOps engineer, you will work collaboratively with teams to deploy and operate systems and infrastructure using best practices to ensure their availability, performance, scalability and security. You will build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test and production environments. You will also evaluate new technologies and vendor products, suggest architecture improvements and also automate and streamline operations and processes to achieve required business goals and objectives. Your role will encompass the use of a broad range of tools and On-Premises / Cloud technologies within Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CD).
Bachelors’ degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience with design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns in on-premises, cloud or hybrid environments
Experience with supporting teams to adopt and implement DevOps principles and practices to speed-up the delivery of change
Understanding and experience working in an Agile delivery environment
Proven experience in Linux/Unix and/or Windows
Good knowledge of network topologies and common network protocols and services
Experience with code and scripting (e.g. Bash/Powershell and Python/Go/etc.)
Experience with distributed development Git (branching/merging, code review)
Experience with automated deployment using CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins or similar)
Experience with automation/configuration tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform or similar)
Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues
Ability to creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Strong ability to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities
Interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate with customers, vendors and partners, and across all levels of the organization
Logical, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience with Cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google) is a plus
Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes or similar)
Proven experience with team management is a plus
