Category Manager - Technology (Gallia - with French)
Overview
Accenture Procurement Plus is seeking an experienced and driven Category Manager – Technology to lead our Gallia technology category operations. This role plays a critical part in executing global and regional strategies at a local level, ensuring value delivery, stakeholder satisfaction, and supplier performance across the Technology category.
Key Purpose
As the Category Manager for Technology in Gallia, you will be responsible for:
- Implementing global and regional sourcing strategies within the local market
- Driving cost savings, service excellence, and compliance
- Acting as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders
- Leading and developing local category teams and initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Category Management & Strategy Execution
- Lead implementation of the global/regional Technology category strategy at the country/market unit level
- Align local targets with global objectives
- Manage and develop the local Procurement Plus Technology team
- Support local business planning, budgeting, and strategic decision-making
- Identify and drive local sourcing opportunities in line with broader category strategy
- Actively participate in global category community and foster collaboration
Procurement Execution & Initiative Support
- Drive execution of key strategic procurement initiatives locally
- Ensure effective contract implementation and usage of preferred buying channels
- Support compliance, risk management, and performance tracking
- Conduct market intelligence and supplier base evaluations
Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Collect and act on feedback on category performance
- Promote value-adding initiatives through proactive stakeholder engagement
- Support pipeline planning and forecasting of sourcing activities
Project Leadership
- Lead and support critical local sourcing projects from initiation to contract
- Design RFPs and conduct competitive sourcing processes
- Implement supplier KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Technology, Economics, or related field
- 6+ years of procurement or category management experience, including project leadership
- Experience in the IT industry and Technology categories
- Experience managing senior stakeholders in a matrix environment
Key Competencies
- Proven expertise in category strategy, sourcing, and supplier management
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- High proficiency with procurement tools and data analytics
- Strong understanding of commercial models and compliance frameworks
- Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English and French on business level (written and spoken)
- Culturally agile and capable of working across global teams
