Job Summary: 

The Assistant Broadcast Engineer is responsible for executing the daily operational processes required to maintain the broadcast and webcast delivery equipment and systems in the Chicago Broadcast Center and via remote access equipment in other Broadcast Centers around Accenture’s global operations. This role must be able to independently troubleshoot broadcast and encoding equipment to the component level.
This role will also be part of the global event production team and will assist with the production of live video events, webcasts, and recordings. This role is expected to be a resource for planning and execution of large, complex and high-visibility events that require customized use of the production systems.

The role is suitable for fresh graduates and juniors - don´t worry, we´ll teach you everything.
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure proper function and maintenance of video switching, audio mixing, and encoding equipment in the Chicago Broadcast Center
  • Coordinate signal acquisition and processing for live webcast events. Signal sources will include Cisco Telepresence units, Tandberg video conference units, Skype for Business, VYVX fiber feeds, satellite feeds, Telephone line, VoIP and others.
  • Provide engineering support for events produced in remote production studios.
  • Provide engineering support for live video events, webcasts events and recordings
  • Assist with coordinating production and resource schedules.
  • Coordination and production of complex off-site events involving remote AV production teams.
  • Travel to off-site or international locations for live or recorded events; work outside of normal business hours may be required.
  • Create and maintain documentation of broadcast control center systems and operations processes
  1. Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Broadcast Engineering or equivalent experience.
Work Experience:                    
  • Experience in broadcast operations is a plus
  • The position is suitable for fresh graduates or juniors with 1-2 years of experience 
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Essential Knowledge and Technical Skills
  • Technical skills in the following areas:
    • Use of Audio/video broadcast, routing, switching, mixing, and signal acquisition technologies for live broadcasts and content recordings
    • Event production and technical issues related to streaming media and webcasting technologies for live events
    • Maintenance and troubleshooting of audio/video production and delivery  infrastructure
    • Configuration of software for control of IP-connected system control devices, such as switchers, scalars, and AV routers.
  • Ability to assist technical directors with configuration and delivery of  live broadcasts with complex or unique delivery requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to clearly translate technical capabilities into specific event production scenarios
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and interact with key executives and customers
  • Ability to understand and work with a culturally diverse team across various geographies.
  • Detailed-oriented, enthusiastic, self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team-centered environment with a flexible schedule
  • Strong customer service skills and client focus.
  • Experience developing technical documentation
  • Ability to closely adhere to defined operational processes and technical standards
  • Ability to complete assigned, recurring tasks with limited supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management
  • Ability to work calmly in stressful and time critical situations

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Visio
  • Experience using video and audio editing software
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Premier
  • Microsoft Server administration
  • Experience with Cisco video conference systems such as MXP, EX or C series units
  • Familiarity with the functions of major network infrastructure components
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint/Team Services site administration
