About Robin
Robin is the Global Industry Managing Director for Accenture’s Software & Platforms business. In this role, which he has held since 2016, Robin is responsible for driving our industry growth agenda with the world’s leading software, internet and technology companies. Key elements of the role include development of our client portfolio, brand and thought leadership positioning, key offerings and business services, and building industry focused consulting practices.
Prior to this role, Robin has held various leadership roles in Accenture including leading the global CMT Strategy Practice, and founding Accenture Webscale Services, an industry business service that helps our clients operate, scale and improve their next generation global internet services. Robin has also held a variety of leadership roles in the firm’s Media & Entertainment Industry since 2007.
Robin moved to the US with the firm in 2004 and has led programs building the world’s leading cloud platforms, as well as, developing and launching hit digital products and services in mobile, entertainment and cloud computing. Robin has also been instrumental in many of the largest technology and media strategic investments over the last decade. Prior to moving to the US, Robin worked in Europe with media companies to digitally enable their core businesses, and technology and communications firms in the development of gaming platforms, broadband and mobile services.
Robin is a Board Observer and led the firm’s venture investment in Mighty AI, a company that provides artificial intelligence technology for autonomous vehicles. Prior to Accenture, Robin worked with Ford Motor Company in design and ergonomics including the early use of Virtual Reality in vehicle development.
Robin joined Accenture in London in 1996 after graduating from the University of Nottingham, England, with First Class Honours in Manufacturing Engineering & Management and was a recipient of The Institution of Engineering & Technology award for top graduating engineers. Robin lives in Seattle with his wife, Lucy, and children, Finn and Skye. Robin is a keen triathlete and hiker in the Pacific Northwest.
