The Creative Team Lead Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of creative projects across digital, social, print, and brand campaigns. This includes managing timelines, resources, creative workflows, stakeholder alignment, and quality control. The role serves as the bridge between business objectives, creative execution, and timely delivery.
A creative lead creates impactful graphics that are coherent and consistent, but at the same time impressively unique, based on visual fundamentals and theory of design. A creative lead is the lead role for visual and creative design, it should lead multiple projects and take ownership of the coordination and execution (timeline, estimations, plans) of visual design projects, co-work, and control other groups of designers, but also have the experience of client-facing, and meet the expectations of the stakeholders to win and keep their trust.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of creative assets (eDMs, banners, flyers, social ads, motion graphics, event signage, website visuals), ensuring timely, on-budget completion and alignment with brand standards. Manage file sharing, versioning, and client delivery protocols.
Act as a liaison between designers, copywriters, creative producers, quality analysts, and client teams.
Define team workflows, roles, and tools, coordinating closely with management and development. Lead brainstorming sessions and promote team alignment.
Facilitate project intake, scoping, timeline creation, stakeholder reviews, and final approvals. Track multiple projects using tools like Workfront, JIRA, Smartsheet, or Trello. Maintain project trackers, dashboards, and reporting templates.
Flag bottlenecks and drive resolution through escalation or resource reallocation. Make recommendations for improvements in reports, tools, processes, and tasks. Promote innovation and encourage team members to suggest ways to improve work processes and results.
Participate in client status calls, provide regular progress updates, and lead client presentations. Communicate with clients to finalize design elements and justify design decisions with clear, engaging explanations.
Lead and manage production projects for new campaigns, provide creative and art direction, and estimate design task timelines. Share best practices, lessons learned, and foster knowledge-sharing and collaboration across teams.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks, assign owners to prevent issues, and enhance performance.
Identify business opportunities within the vertical and promote skill development to benefit the team and organization.
Provide effective feedback and direction to team members. Manage and organize internal and external asset repositories.
Demonstrate proven design and layout skills, with a strong eye for composition, color, typography, and detail. Work independently, keeping project timelines on track and processes transparent. Collaborate closely with writers, designers, and animators to launch impactful campaigns and brand experiences.
Required Skills
8–12 years as a Design Lead or similar role.
4+ years in creative operations or project management.
Advanced English and fluency in client calls.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Experience Manager) on PC and Mac.
Familiarity with file types, creative briefing, and visual QA.
Experience with project tracking tools (Workfront, JIRA, MS Projects).
Strong stakeholder and resource coordination.
Team leadership for design and copy.
Experience working across global platforms and formats.
Vachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Animation, or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
Experience with 3D rendering, motion graphics, or video.
